However, the limitation I see in F150 EV is the 400v battery and its 150kW max charging rate. It's OK for a compact SUV like Mach-E/ID.4, but not enough for a truck. It will take more time to fill up its bigger battery.
Not much more time. Full charge on 40 minutes for the extended range. The Lightning has a flatter charge profile.

I'm still very new to EV, MME is my 1sr, but I've been in large RC electric aircraft for over 10 years now. Based on my experience the best way to fast charge with the least heat is to increase the pack size. I can have to 60c packs, one 2200mah and one 6000mah and technically charge them at the same fast rate. However the 2200 will get significantly warm and lifespan reduces quicker. Give the size of the F150 the packs will be significantly larger and able to fast charge at a higher rate with less heat and long term damage.

I think of this as filling the tank of my gas car by using full open at the pump vs keeping it much slower when filling a 2 gallon gas can.

I'm not even sure this makes any sense but is the thoughts I've had along my EV journey

That is why I ordered the Hummer, 800V/350KW charging. GM will be going that way for all their EV trucks, but not the cars. It will be interesting to see what Tesla does with Cybertruck, currently the Superchargers only support 480V.
I mean, you are pretty wealthy. Hummer EV is another price category.

Your thinking is valid. This is why PHEVs don't have DCFC capability (with one or two exceptions). As battery pack size increases then thermal gain can be distributed into a greater mass and therefore easier to manage.

Looks like this guy couldn't make up his mind either. F-150 or Mustang?

The look is a little much for me, but I do wonder if it would increase the highway range of the Lightning....
