I don't care where it is in the 1/8th mile the only person talking about the 1/8th mile is you. I think you need to read this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

So the Honda pulls on it past 80 or 85 mph instead of 60 or 70 mph? That's the hill you're gonna die on?

I think maybe you're missing the plot here, the point is that the 100 mph trap is pathetic and a 480 horse 70k dollar Performance Edition Mustang get pulled on by 4 cylinder family sedan ANYWHERE short of the EVs top speed is embarrassing.
Bro, you’re the one coming in with the Accord comparison (which I correctly predicted someone would, congrats) stating after 60mph, then 65-70mph, it would pull away from OP’s PE. But, his PE gets to 100mph a full 1.5 seconds faster than a typical 2.0T. That’s a damn light year in drag racing or roll-ons in Mexico or wherever. 100mph is sad, I’ve stated it many times here. But your 2.0T hyperbole is just that, hyperbole. My car runs a 12.2-12.4 1/4 mile @ 114-117mph depending on DA and the OP’s PE is .1-.2 quicker than me in the 1/8th mile. And, it’s only .3-.4 slower in the 1/4 mile, even falling on its face. Think about that. Once the issue gets solved it’ll be trapping 110+ with ease and all the hand-wringing can cease.

Getting salty in here!

My revised prediction: with trac off 12.58 at 101 mph.

Secondary prediction: there is no issue, that's all the motors have to give.

Ah good old Borg Warner, holding back the Mustang since the t-5.

Good lord, the absolute drama queen BS being thrown around here based on ONE car, from a person who has taken it to a track ONCE is unbelievable! Take a step back from the ledge...
Or....go ahead and jump the ledge and cancel your order so your neighborhood dealer can make some crazy ADM on the "poor" soul that pays up for the car that will more likely than not ever see a race in its life.

If this is the car, which there's no way it is because it can't be slower than a standard AWD Mach-E, then it will disappoint many. But there are also those that this particular issue (if permanent, which again, unlikely) won't even matter and will happily pay for the GT badge.

First data point, not great, but thanks to the OP for putting their neck and car on the line to give us something to talk about!

My presumption of all of this is he had 70% battery, without unbridle extended or w.e turned on capping it's performance cause after all, they still want people to be able to get good range out of the car. Hopefully we can get some footage or info from the drag strip with that engaged and maybe higher battery. That or actually hope the review embargo goes live. I think everyone should just start tweeting at ford cause they're very much making me consider just switching to a model y performance.

I will preface my remarks with the fact that I have never taken a car to the track but I do regularly analyze data. My general sense is that is that if you go back and read 0t60-3.5's original post, there is a lot of information there that likely explains the results (the bulleted Notes section). Additionally, this is basically one data point and until there is more information, it's hard to make a definitive conclusion--or any conclusion for that matter. I think it is worth congratulating 0t60 for sticking his neck out there and providing the forum with some data. If anything, it has been fun to see the reactions.

there’s no reason to think that unbridled extended will make it quicker in the 1/4 and if this is the performance that can be expected at 72% SoC then the car is a dud.

Ah good old Borg Warner, holding back the Mustang since the t-5.
So, a 4X traps 103-104 but GTs only 101? Interesting prediction. Prob more like 111 once all is said and done.

And regarding T-5s, that’s funny, I’ve owned 4 Foxes with T-5s, one had 425hp 347, another had H/I/C plus a Powerdyne @9psi and trapped 120+ and the others were much tamer. I banged gears at the track often and never broke that “glass” 3rd gear like others insisted I would eventually. Just lucky I guess.

I love reading about all of this, but we ordered the GT for my wife, just to get the Cyber Orange color, so no real skin in the game ?. I know she is never taking it to the track.

If I remember quickly unbridled extend was supposed to allow peak performance at all battery levels so that performance wouldn't lower depending on battery %? IDK maybe I'm a dumbass I just remembered reading something like that somewhere.

Cyber Orange with a blue racing stripe will get you free parking at the Dome on game day.

Indeed. We owe him some thank yous. Us (potential) GT buyers are so starved for content that any news was bound to blow up.

I was thinking of getting a mach-e GT, but this is concerning. I'd really like to know how Ford came up with the numbers they advertised. Being a little bit off is one thing, but this is rather substantial. It makes the "GT" badge sort of a joke.

My first prediction before the slips were posted. Just trying to have a little fun here.

12.7 @ 109mph

When and if it does do that I'll have my 3rd revision ready.

You've been so defensive in this whole thread. Unless you're on the Mach-e design team, relax man.
