GT Build Week of Aug. 23rd Group

My "In Production" date is shown as 8/28 on the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking site with an estimated dealer delivery date of 10/15. Earlier today it had a 10/31 estimated delivery date, so this is progress! On the "My Orders" page, it shows "scheduled for production" week of 8/23. It also is showing as "in production" on that page.

Interestingly, the segFYI page still shows 10/25 to 10/31 as the ETA start & end dates, so that data doesn't line up with the Ford order tracking site. For now, I'm going to believe the Ford site since it has better news for me.

A little more info - mine also still shows as in production. I also just loaded up the Fordpass app and was able to add my vehicle - and I have the "Activate Vehicle" button, but still not sure what that really means after reading through this thread and others.

It use to mean your car was built and alive. With the chip shortage, no idea now.

YES, my ETA has moved up by 1-2 weeks and is now Oct 19th. Build was 8/26/21

well, that's odd. The Ford tracker is now back to 10/31 for my order, but segFYI is still on the 15th.

This is about the time I start feeling like the micro chips are never going to come and the car is going to sit there till it rusts. no, i don't have any patience whatsoever.. i know..

My delivery date said 10/31 till this week moved to 10/19, then 10/11. Just checked now, and the delivery date is no longer listed. The other ford tracker used to say how many days til delivery, now it doesnt.

Same for me - now the ETA is blank. Perhaps their system is down currently.

I’ve been following your posts for reference even though my GT was built on 8/11. I have an estimated end date of 9/20/21.

A new “Remote Setup” section showed up in FordPass app that let me choose some settings (home address, screen image when started, etc) and let me send the info so the car arrives personalized. Not sure if this indicates it has the chips needed.

Hopefully this helps track progress for you guys as well. I did receive the 6 week chip delay email - delivery of 9/20 would be about 6 weeks from build date if it actually does arrive around that date.

Activate doesn't really mean anything from what I recall about my First Edition. It still sat a while after that showed up. The problem is that Ford doesn't seem to track when the chip shows up. If you call Ford they can see if it still says chip hold, or not, at any given time, but I don't think you can count 100% on any of the tracking info at this point. Basically it could just show up, or sit weeks and weeks. I'd say equal chances. I'd rather know, but doesn't seem to be in the cards. Frustrating.
