So got a chance to take my Mach on a short 50 miles trip and 50 back and tried the Blue Cruise and so far very impressed and amazed by accuracy and simplicity of it all.

The only thing missing is the lack of ability to change lanes ( which apparently is coming with a software update!) , but other than that the system was flawless.

It does feel weird to just sit there and let the car do it’s thing. While I’m a huge fan of technology , it remains to be decided whether I would renew my Blue Cruise subscription once it’s up in 2024.

On another side note the torque of this vehicle is insane as expected and it gets a lot of attention no matter where we go!

Can you comment about acceleration if you punch it at highway speeds?

So it never disengaged itself or prompted you to put your hands back on the wheels while on curves?
Yes, please elaborate if you can about your bluecruise experience. Did it keep centered in the lane, did it have issues with people pulling front of you, did it have troubles handling sharp/mild curves in the highway? Did you feel more relaxed not having to actively drive, or was it nerve wracking to constantly keep an eye on the car?

So this was just a first test so I let the car handle the acceleration and brakes etc. only time I took over was a three mile stretch with road construction. I didn’t attempt to floor it cause wanted to just test the basics of the BC. And the intelligent cruise did its job as expected to keep the distance between me and car ahead and adjusting speed accordingly to speed limit signs.
it was a little nerve wrecking being that it’s a new experience but I think over time it will feel more natural and people will definitely enjoy using jt.

Thanks for the review. One thing that bugs me is when I ordered I opted for the 360 camera and blue cruise and nowhere on the order page, details page or anywhere else did I find I was buying a 3 year subscription....I was under the assumption I bought blue cruise for the life of the vehicle.

Oh and off topic... Angelina would you mind taking a picture of the sticker inside the driver's door jam that lists the gvwr?

You're right. I don't see that in any of the disclosures, specs, or info boxes on the current order flow, either. They only explain that BlueCruise allows for a hands-free highway driving experience and that it is just one part of the Co-Pilot 360 suite of driver assistance features.

The penultimate paragraph of this article gives a clue that it will be a recurring subscription charge.

I guess we'll see...

are we allowed to do the cabbage patch as we drive or will the IR nanny stop us?
Cabbage Patch should be fine, but if you attempt Running Man, it will shut your fun down!

How nagging are the IR lights? Say, hypothetically, someone were to look at their phone during a Blue Cruise drive for about 30 seconds. Does it warn you? Asking for a friend....

This is a driver assistance technology not self driving. Looking away from the road for 30 seconds at highway speeds you could travel a half mile or more. Even if the system would let you do this I sincerely hope your "friend" would never look away from the road for that long. Even 4 seconds can be too much time to look away.
