I ordered 5/4/21 and received the same letter. I'm not happy that Ford is taking so long on those orders. I was told 5 months when I ordered but that date has passed and now it sounds like it won't even happen in 2021. I've ordered a Premium RWD ER.
When you were told 5 months, that information was reasonably accurate at that time. Then the chip shortage got worse, and orders got bumped out by months. No different on any other models, or brands.

I had placed my order for a Premium RWD MME on 7/12/21 at a NorCal dealership and was told that I had a build date confirmation for 10/18 along with the Vin # he had provided. I would like to think that the car should be rolled over to a 2022 build since I am not expecting delivery before late December, however my dealership states that they see no changes online. I don't think it's fair that customers are getting so much variability in the receipt of this email even though our order months are staggered over multiple months.
At this time he offered cancellation and rebooking with any other dealership of my choice, however I told him I would much rather the process play out as I want to get the car sap and even cash in on the federal rebate for 2021 vs 2022. However it would be great to get some clarity and consistency  from Ford at this time.

I ordered from the same dealership. Apparently, this dealership receives some of the highest numbers of Mach e’s in the region due to the inordinate amount of Tesla‘s registered to the surrounding ZIP Codes. It seems Ford is trying to take some of the EV market share.
That makes sense. I chose this dealership intentionally because they don't do dealer markup. Didnt known they received high numbers of Mach E's. Considering that you and I ordered 3 days apart from the same dealership, that production date you mentioned for early November sounds very promising! Especially since I did not get an email. I will confirm. Thank you!

So my dealer emailed me a copy (screen print) of my order in dealer's system. Was an August 25th order for MY21 CalRt1 now rolled by Ford to MY22 and yes I received the Ford email.

I noticed on my screen print that my Priority Code went from 19 to 10. From what I've read elsewhere that just moves me up within the dealer's own allocations of retail fulfillment. Am I correct? Should I be excited?

My own perception of delivery date over/under is 3rd week of January. Remember, we (rolled unscheduled MY21 orders) are ahead of the new MY22 orders made when that book opened.

I ordered a Premium AWD ER one day after your order and received a confirmation email that I was rolled over to a 2022.

My order for a 2021 Premium in Iconic Silver was converted to a 2022 model year. The 2022 guide does not list Iconic Silver as a color option. Will that color option be honored for existing orders or will I need to choose from the 2022 color options? I contacted my dealer and they have not indicated that I need to change the color, but they are probably not as aware of the changes as I am.
Iconic Silver is no longer available. You’ll need to pick a new color.

That lines up well with what someone stated about the AWD parts causing some build delays for Ford. My dealer confirmed again today he is still seeing a 2021 build at this time, which I am ok with at this time. I am guessing the issues with the glass recall will be resolved on my build and getting that extra bump on the battery isn’t a big deal since I am in for the extended battery anyways.

Spoke with my dealer yesterday, removed the interior protection package and got a new price, he submitted it and today it came out with a priority 10 order for a 2022, with an A/Z price $399 below our 2021 order that was never made.

That is very interesting. I regularly see in a sample size of 10 cars, 4 Teslas and 1 Audi E-tron driving on River road. It used to be you could not spit without hitting a E/S class MB or 5/7 series BMW

Does your dealer have to resubmit your order in the system if it auto rolled over to a 22? On my build page it says “It’s time to order your…” All the check marks are checked, order sent, order accepted.

I’ve received no communication from my dealer (going to call on Friday) but just want to wonder if my order has been sitting on hold falling to the back of the line for 27 days.

Go to your dealer today, bypass the salesman (they are clueless) and ask for the sales manager to look up your order. If it was converted from a 21 to a 22my order his order sheet should have a priority BELOW 19 and most likely a 10. If its not suggest he change the priority now.
Please note that even though you have an order with the dealer, if he doesnt have the monthly allocation for Mach-E's he needs to roll your order over to the next month.

I see the same thing on the Ford website. However, I've already been to my dealer (I changed my paint to one of the new colors available for 2022). The Sales Manager easily found my order and made the change and it is now reflected on the Ford's site. The whole Mache-E online order things is not exactly smooth so I would not worry about that statement. If you still have an order number, you should be all set.

I'm truly taking Ford at its word that the conversion from 2021 to 2022 did not affect my place in the queue. Although, for me personally, it would serve me better to get my car in 2022 than this calendar year. The credit is non-refundable. I only have two monthly paychecks left this year. No point in adjusting my withholdings to account for the credit. As cool as it would be to get my car now, I would lose most of the credit if I did.

I don’t see many 22’s being delivered this year. In fact, I’m worried my 21 won’t be delivered this year and I miss taking advantage of the tax credit for this year.
