I'm joining this grumpy thread. I took over a February order in March and I still don't have the car. I'm very frustrated seeing people get their cars after 5 months.

It's a long story, but on this forum I found somebody with the same build date, same shipped date, lived in the same city, used the same dealer. Yep, he had a deposit in on the same car. I'm hoping it was an honest mistake. I think it is all straightened out, but I won't actually believe the car is mine until I am driving home.

That's crazy. But not surprising when human beings are involved in the ordering process. Mistakes will be made. Best of luck!

You got a "shipped" email? I got nuttin' on that front. The only email that I got that was specific to my order was the "built" email (I did get an email confirming my reservation, but that was pre-order so it doesn't count). Prior to that I got the generic "chip shortage" email and a generic email assuring me that people with reservations would be prioritized above non-reservations (if you believe that, I have a bridge near here and some swamp land in Florida I can sell you).

I think Ford just thinks we're mushrooms. I'm not a mushroom! I'm a Poodle! ?
not surprising tbh. Ford has either been “ok” or “awful” with coms. I too got a chip shortage email.

So my dealer has another Premium in stock that was built 5 days before mine (9/25 vs 9/30), shipped on the same day as mine (10/4), hit the Muncie Ramp 2 days before mine (10/17 vs 10/19) and arrived at the dealer 3 days ago (10/27). So where's mine? Who knows? I was really hoping I'd be able to pick it up this weekend.
If I can't get it by tomorrow, I lose $750 because the California Clean Air rebate gets cut in half. Plus nobody know what's happening to Ford Options on the 1st yet.

So for the longest time, Ford's order tracking showed my MMEP4X "shipped on 21 Sep 2021, however earlier this week that ship date disappeared and the car was just listed as in transit, and the delivery ETA changed from a range (30 Oct- 5 Nov) to just 5 Nov. Of course, no real detail, so I finally got off me arse and had my dealer e-mail me my VVR, which was a bit more terse than I anticipated. The VVR shows that the vehicle made it on to a railcar at the Cuautitlán plant on 19 Oct 2021 at 15:45 CDT. I decided I'd try to reach out to KCS, who were less than willing to give specifics, but after sharing a copy of the VVR and asking about the general frequency and intervals of shipments from Cuautitlán to KC MO, I received the following:

"Given the time frame, the train would have entered the US at the end of last week. The car would have then traveled to Shreveport from Laredo, which is about 3 days. From Shreveport it would have been assigned to the Shreveport to Kansas City train which is 1- 2 days to IFG. That would put us at the conclusion that this car has recently arrived, or will have arrived by then end of this weekend. I hope this helps a little."

Okay, less grumpy, but still have to wait at least a week. Hopefully the UP run from KC to Stockton goes smoothly and it looks like next weekend might be right on the mark, which by the way, Ford has been publishing on the oder details since early Aug. and would be 26.5 weeks from the date of order on 5 May. At that time, they were publishing 24 weeks to deliver, so meh, not egregious, however still grumpy, just less so.

My electric Mustang has now been delivered, safe and sound.

Before leaving, I must acknowledge that I never fully lived up to the standards of grumpiness expected here. We definitely have some world-class grumps. I wish you all well, and hope that your Mustangs arrive soon and provide great satisfaction!

Well a late night black ops delivery occurred at my dealer and that delivery has officially kicked me out of this thread. Was originally due 11/9-11/14. A 30 mile drive home from the dealer lowered the estimated miles remaining 7 miles. Needless to say, i'm impressed by the GTPE so far...

Obligatory photo of it at home.

Super grump tonight!!! No car, was due between 10/24 and today with no updates from anyone. Dealership doesn't know where car is and when it will be here.
Congrats spanky99L, but at the same time, I'm annoyed you got your's early and I've got nothing.

Man, you’re giving me hope that my car might be here before December!
And I hate you for that. I also hate that you got your car before me.

But it does look good so congrats. :)

Now leave before I get grumpy again!

Welp. Woke up this morning feeling optimistic again. Think today is the day I at least get a built checkmarks.

Nope. Nothing but a new populated window sticker. This is getting ridiculous.

The day isn't over yet! There's still plenty of time to have even more hope dashed by chip holds and lack of production or communication.

On my front, my weekly VVR says the car on the 27th was updated as Pt. Wilmington, DE. So 2 days after my last VVR, it moved a grand total of 3.1 miles and has been sitting there since. I know there's a trucker shortage of labor but come the F on.

Speaking of lack of communication, it's now almost a week since I emailed my dealer with no word back too. And he's still claiming my still-in-Mexico car will be delivered next week. Ok buddy.

And jeez 3.1 miles? Ford could solve their trucker problem overnight if they just let all of us drive the car back. I'm sure there would be plenty of happy and willing volunteers.
