I spoke with the dealer sales manager and had me on hold for easily about 5 min. when he came back he said it is on its way and expected to be delivered the week of November 14. I asked if he had the railroad info and he said he doesn't have that. I don't know why he wouldn't have it. I also asked if he can tell when it shipped and he said mid October. So if it did ship mid October it should be here mid November. Crossing my fingers it is delivered the week of Nov. 14. KC is next state over, about 9 hour drive from KC to the dealer. So if it does come through Jack Cooper, I am hoping it's delivered early in the week.
BTW as of yesterday I am not able to track my MME through the Fords website, when I put in my information and click on "Accept & Track" it just refreshes the screen and takes me back to a clear screen. I am hoping it's doing that because it's in the middle of an update. I am still able to see it through seg.fyi which shows no changes.

It sounds like they have not given you the VVR. I really annoys me that some dealers think they cannot share it. I am sure Ford prefers they don't, but you are the dealer's customer and they should at least share that information with you. After all, Ford has a horrible process for informing end buyers about the status of their car.

They think we just want to sit around and wait until 11/14 comes and then start asking? Who do they think we are? We buy from retailers that can tell us almost to the hour when our underwear order will be delivered, and we can track it along the way, so certainly we want to know when our $60,000 car will be delivered.

I am willing to bet your VVR does not show anything other than it has shipped. It should definitely show when it arrives in KC and is transferred to the truck that will take it to IL. I would think, anyway.

You are right, it should take about 4 weeks to get to you, but because you are closer to KC than those that typical take 4 weeks, you might actually get it in 3 weeks. That means maybe next week! Cross your fingers and toes!

Calling for my rail car number still says ir was unloaded and returned by customer on August 2 in Big Lift, CO. Another forum member tracked my car to Winslow, AZ on Monday morning, then Barstow, CA yesterday morning. ?‍?

So today it says that the railcar was unloaded and is empty, but it still doesn't say where that happened. I'm hoping it was somewhere nearby and the car is about to take a short truck trip to the dealer.

The way Origin and Destination are shown on palsapp.com is somewhat misleading: initially the Origin listed is the end of rail transport, which is New Castle, DE for you and me; once the train rolls into Kansas City, Origin changes to Kansas City and Destination changes to Norfolk Southern Voltz Yard. Your order's status looks exactly like mine, as well as a number of others in the region with similar production dates.

You car may very well be in Newark, NJ. I am hoping that mine is, but haven't been able to get a Vehicle Visibility Report out of my salesperson.

@mkhuffman 's car has a production date over a month after yours and mine (along with over a dozen others in the Philadelphia area; I just looked at inbound MME's within a 50-mile radius and grabbed VIN's with the last five digit sequence number around mine). The most likely explanation is that all these cars were sent offsite during the chip hold, and once they were completed the batch were sent off to the Port of Veracruz. Because the freight bills for Jack Cooper and United Road were generated before our cars were even assembled, they become meaningless if Ford decides to take a different shipping route. For cars that were built and shipped within a few days, they continue to be sent to Kansas City for distribution, those with a ship date over 3 weeks after yours have already passed through Kansas City and are on their way to New Castle - the difference there is that they were never delayed by a chip hold.

If you can get a Vehicle Visibility Report out of your dealer for the last known location of your car, then you will know for sure if it is in Newark.

I almost “bought” an MME in early February at another dealer and was about to bring in my trade-in when I was told it was their FCTP unit, even though less than 24 earlier I had asked explicitly if it was an FCTP unit. I can’t believe this is still happening but here we are.

I hope she doesn’t have it. I reserved my car, converted to order, found out my mom had cancer, my mom passed. My mom was a former Mustang owner. She was excited I was getting a Mustang and wanted the “death ride” in the MME. Still waiting for my MME. ??
