PSA, just do not do this with the supplied EVSE. Doing so will overloading your 30 amp circuit. It may seem to work, but that breaker will trip eventually or worse, overheat, arc, and start a fire.I got the adapter to be able to use the three pin dryer outlet (10-30P). This is the old dryer outlet type without ground and the adapter has a 10’ grounding wire that you plug into the ground of a standard 120VAC outlet.
The MME mobile EVSE pulls 32 amps when using the 240 vac adapter cord. You should only use a 24 amp EVSE on a 30 amp circuit.
And for the record, the 10-30 outlet is actually missing the neutral wire not the ground wire. The neutral blade on the mobile EVSE 14-50P adapter cord is not connected to anything, because the EVSE does not need 120 vac.
