OTA Power Up 2.3.0 Is out

I had my first failure of 2.3.0 on Jan 7th. Car was connected to WiFi at that time. Reading about the possibility that Wifi connectivity could cause failures, I disabled the WiFi client in the car, and parked my car in the driveway.

The OTA status page changed from "General failure will retry", to pending. But in a few hours, went back to failure. So it seems like there is something else going on in addition to WiFi. Not sure if Fords servers are unable to handle a lot of cars, or theres something else going on.

I will try the same procedure again tomorrow.

My observation thus far is that the push attempts appear to be weekly. I’m not sure if that’s accurate though.

OTA Details mention an expiration of 1-14-22...

That’s probably when the update campaign ends for your car. It will open up again in a week or two. That happened to me when 1.7.1 was rolling out.

With their version numbers they should have numbered them below:
1.1.4.0
2.1.6.0
3.1.7.1
4.2.1.0
5.2.3.0

I understand they do not sequentially update-modules as they all update different things so that is why they come out in a random sequence. HOWEVER, for the customer, this would make it a bit easier to understand what is going on.

Mine has attempted to install and failed twice, first on 1/7 and again today. Previous updates have all been successful for me.

Mine successfully updated this morning on the 3rd attempt! It might just be superstition, but I moved my car outside and turned off Wi-Fi when I saw “request_delivery_queued” in widget.

Mine successfully updated this morning on the 3rd attempt! It might just be superstition, but I moved my car outside and turned off Wi-Fi when I saw “request_delivery_queued” in widget.

Looks like that is the way to do it. Hoping that 3rd times the charm for me as well.
Or perhaps an intervention from @Ford Motor Company , will keep this thread updated.

Would this OTA update explain why all of my radio presets were gone? As a SiriusXM subscriber I had all 15 presets programmed. They were all missing today. (This has happened a few times before).

Mine didn't disappear after getting the update. Did you try to manually switch to a different profile and back to yours?

How can I pull (not push) the latest update? Is this a usa thing with updates for USA driving issues? Here in the Netherlands I drive around with 1.6.
I do not want to go to a dealer who has no clue only to waist a day.
that said, maybe here in the Netherlands we do not need all the updates and is it a country fix.But still hoping and waiting to be surprised one morning seeing my battery has been less restricted and the hood suddenly works with the fob. Now that would be a customer experience. But I will not hold my breath for it….

You can't .. Ford has to send it to your car. The dealer can give you 1.7.1, but anything newer is OTA only..

For what it's worth, even in the US we haven't gotten the frunk update or the extra battery capacity
