Got this error last nite. No power outages etc where I live. I unplugged and replugged the charger from the car, and disabled to charge outside my normal times and it started charging. I’m kinda wondering what the issue is. For reference, I’m using the mobile charger on a 240v dedicated 50A circuit set to charge between 10pm & 5am. No issues up to this point-had the car over a month now. Kinda hoping it’s fluke error.

This has been noted by others, including myself. When I got it, the car was in fact already charging, so it was a false message. Was your car charging then? Or done already?

I've had it not start a scheduled charging session a few times too.

When I noticed that it did not start charging according to the scheduled start time, I went out to the vehicle. The welcome lights came on so the vehicle woke up, then the contactors in my ChargePoint clicked and the car started charging. Seemed like the car was asleep and didn't wake up to charge.

A year in development and a year in the field and it still can't .... Wake me when it's useful. In the meantime, it's a great car.

Had this happen last night also. Didn't charge but the preconditioning started as scheduled and I maybe gained a percent or 2 of charge.

My car had this issue consistently every night for a few weeks. I reported it, and its being looked into, But a few days ago it started charging normally again.

Every night my scheduled charge window starts at 11pm and then at 11:15pm I'd get the notification that the scheduled charge didn't start. If I'd go to the car and unplug it and plug it back in, it would start charging in the schedule like normal. I could even just push the button next to the charge port and it would wake it up and start charging.

If I didn't do anything, it usually would randomly start charging in the middle of the night.

One night I went to the car and the ring around the button was flashing red, and I did pull a DTC from it and sent that with my info to Ford.

But the fact that it has just randomly decided to start working on schedule again makes it more of a mystery.

I got this message too. I took the scheduled charge off of my Juicebox charger. I set the schedule up on my MME. Seems to be working consistently now.

I had this issue before too... it turned out that my Ford mobile charger needed a reboot. The LED light on it was orange instead of blue.

I unplugged and replugged the charger, and the next time I connected to my car it worked.

Check that and give it a try.

I looked at the charger after I saw the error and it was still blue. I disabled scheduled charging for a few minutes and it started charging after replugging. After reenabling scheduled charging, I then checked to see if it was waiting to charge until 10pm (it’s normally scheduled time) and it is. I’m gonna check again tonite and make sure it is charging at that time.

I have a ChargePoint Flex and it's set to charge at midnight. The car is set to charge anytime at home.

I get this message every single day without fail. I have for 4 months since I've owned it. It doesn't affect anything, it's just annoying. I assume that it happens because I plug in at around 5-8pm - 7-4 hours before charging starts. This is my interpretation of the car's logic:
  • The car thinks "I'm plugged in"
  • The charger says "yeah but you need to wait".
  • The car then says "well then the charge didn't start" (technically correct).
It does start at midnight, and everything works fine because it's willing to accept a charge at any time. Because there's various different EVSE's and modules are on different firmware versions, this could be different for others, but from my experience it's just an annoyance.

It makes sense because if I plugged in at a DCFC and it wasn't charging I would want to know. Or as other's mentioned, if the charger has a fault it's good to know as well. They just need an option to disable it at the preset geo location.

Interesting, had this happen last week and I thought maybe I didn’t put my grizzle plug in all the way, so I took it out and put it back in and it started working and it worked fine since.

I’ve since just taken it off a schedule because I don’t get any special pricing cause Duke energy in my county sucks.

I'm kinda wondering if it has something to do with new mobile app update. I never had any issues before this update.

Hmm it happened last week for me, before the update. But there have been vehicle updates…
