Would you be willing to run my VIN for me? I took my car in to the dealer yesterday for CSP 21P22 and a few other things. They claimed to update the APIM but it looks like I'm still stuck on Sync 1.7.1 which is a bummer as I really wanted portrait CarPlay. He said some of the updates he ran failed and he ran out of time...

Understandable. I'm having a hard time justifying the expenses of a $500 cable + power adapter + FDRS license just for CarPlay since it could theoretically come via OTA at any moment.... but man I want it for a road trip I'm taking soon.

Hmmm... it's not but Sacramento is only a 4,600 mile round trip detour so it could be worth it.

Guys is there any known issue with flashing ? And i mean so bad that you needed to call the dealer to fix it ? Or is it only sometimes a failed flash and if you stay calm and try again it succeeds ?

I got all the necessary cables so i wanted to update this sunday

Same thing with my car. Updates didn't all take. I complained and they ordered new apim for me, installed after 1 month and supposedly everything updated.

Almost afraid to check Vin and raise my blood pressure!

PCM: G2178950-3.0
OBCC: G2195899-5.0

Anyone seen/tried these?

If you are stuck trying to get 1.7.1 you'll be in the same boat as me. You can upgrade everything but the Sync software (APIM). It'll just refuse to ever start flashing when you insert the USB drive. There *IS* a reimage option for it in FDRS but with big bold warning NOT to use it unless Ford has authorized it. I assume it might work but was unwilling to "void" my warranty should it fail. You can get by saying you purchased their license and followed their instructions. But ignoring their instructions puts you in a precarious place should something go wrong.

You will have the update for fast charging pending. Dealers haven't been given the permission from Ford to install that yet on any Job 2 cars.

I’ve applied them to mine. Went on fine and cleared from FDRS. ABS is still stuck in the list though even though I applied it…again..

I did both this afternoon too. I now have two different levels of regen in OPD - Engaged (posted to a separate thread earlier). No idea if it was the PCM update, or if it has been that way for a while now, and I just never noticed it. L is now noticeably stronger than OPD, at least in engaged/OPD. Go pedal off, like decelerating from a highway off ramp, I can turn L on and off, and the difference is very noticeable.

My ABS is still stuck too in the FDRS SW Update list.

Update: I did some electrical work tonight which involved disconnecting the 12V LVB (so a cold boot of most systems). Did another test drive after that, and now MME is back to normal, no difference between OPD and L. I guess it was just that gremlin that others have reported, where regen just starts to act differently for a time. First time I have experienced this (OPD was definitely on, because FDRS updates had turned it off, which I corrected on backing out of the garage after the updates.)

Looks like an update for the GWM was posted to FDRS today too. I already applied the OBCC update a few days ago, so I'll update the PCM and GWM over lunch.
