This is true but I don't care. I like the smoother ride. We all have our priorities!
I wouldn't mind trading something like 20% of the tread life of the tires for a smoother ride. That averages out to something like an extra $60/yr maybe? Worth it if that's roughly what it works out to.

I just worry a bit about how safe that really is, especially for a vehicle this heavy. I've only dropped mine to about 37 PSI around town (I bump them up to 40 for road trips). I wanted to go further but some of the stuff I read raises caution flags for dropping more than maybe 10%.

You obviously do not live in a town where there are potholes and horribly paved streets like we have all across the city of Chicago and you likely do not face many of the concrete roads with evenly spaced seams that result in a harmonic bounce that cause car sickness for family members and my dog in the back of the car. Don't get me wrong, on smooth asphalt road, like are all over the place near the cottage we have in Wisconsin, the Mach-E rides like a dream, but on snow plow torn up city streets and seamed concrete roads and highways, the MME is a pretty terrible ride (as the 60 pages in the other thread can attest to, there are plenty of other MME owners out there who feel the same way). As for my previous cars, counting back from my 2021 Mustang Mach-E First Edition AWD ER -> 2017 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4, 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 40th Anniversary Edition, 2009 Ford Fusion Sport, 2007 Mustang GT Manual (and a 2007 Honda motorcycle at the same time, not that that is overly relevant here), 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 Manual, 1996 Chevy Corsica, 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix, and a 1992 Mazda 323 Manual. As you can see, I have driven plenty of different vehicles over the years and have lots to compare the MME to and all of the vehicles I listed there were more comfortable to drive than the MME is.
honestly, it’s hard to accept your assessment given the cars you listed.

I have to ask what your previous cars were? For me personally the Mach E has a very smooth conformable ride but then again I owned a 1992 Sentra SE-R and 2004 Sentra Spec V earlier in my life and those set my base line. The 04 Spec V beat the crap out me on long drives but then again those were sport turn suspensions and tuning. I will admit the Mach E is no were as smooth as my Honda Crosstour but that had a different ride case.
My personal world I like sporty suspension and I gladly will take the harsher ride.
another spec-v driver here???? I miss my 2006; flaws and all. Loved that car.

honestly, it’s hard to accept your assessment given the cars you listed.
Not sure I follow... If you are implying that I don't know what sporty suspension is like, perhaps not. If you are implying that I should not know a comfortable ride is, which is what I'm longing for in the bouncy/harsh ride I get in my Mach-E, then I can say that every since one of those cars that I listed was nkre comfortable and less bouncy than the MME is. If you are implying something else, then I have no idea what you are saying... ?. And if you can't trust my assessment, feel free to consider the assessments of the many other MME owners complaining about the ride. I'm certainly not alone in this...

I am betting that Jeep Wrangler Sport was the harshest ride. I had a 95 and LOVED it but you felt everything in the road.

So, you are right. My Wrangler was what I would call a rough ride, but it is definitely different than the MME. I consider the MME harsher simply due to the lack of any cushion at all to the suspension and the tires are certainly smaller on the MME and feel much more if the road imperfections. The weight of the MME also surely plays into the harshness and I certainly never harmonically bounced up and down going over seams in concrete roads in the way the MME does in any vehicle ever. ?. I do miss that Wrangler now that you have me thinking back on it. ?

I love my Mach E. But the ride suspension is a bit wonky in my opinion (way too bouncy). Has anyone else experienced this and/or have any tips on how to make better? I was thinking about purchasing new tires, but i dont know how that would affect the warranty i purchased.
Which trim do you have? Thanks

Talk about a ruff ride. We have a 1928 Ford. That's one ruff ride, I put new shocks on the rear ($500 a pair) and it has helped a little. Sometime later this year, I'll replace the front shocks, dam same price! Still waiting on our MME, now May delivery!

I driven a few Jeep Wrangler's in the past.
Last April I did test drive the 2021 Mach-E and found it was smooth. Hard to believe ride is worse than a Jeep for some.

I wouldn’t say any of those vehicles had a sport suspension though. So kind of like comparing apples to crabapples. The ride is actually fairly good compared to actual sports oriented cars. Which is more or less the target for MME.

@Bdsmith10 I was only joking about the speeding part. Physically resting your head on the headrest during rough road segments significantly increases the feeling of having a bad ride. I actually think it has something to do with the seats, they’re super comfortable but I think the zero gravity part of it adds to the effect and headrests creates a jarring motion.
Does my Corvette count as a sport tuned suspension? Because it's a less punishing ride than my Mach E. And definitely can't rest my head on the headrest unless I want to get a headache lol.

Has anyone reported the effect on ride-ability after swapping out stock 19-inch wheels/tires on a Premium for the stock 18-in combo from a CARt1 or Select?

I’m grateful that the asphalt lobby is super strong here in Minnesota. Asphalt may not last as long as concrete, and so I pay more as a taxpayer, but the upside is far fewer expansion joints on the highways. I don’t mind a rough ride over potholes and other imperfections - it’s the hobby horse ride on concrete that gets me.

Although the poster who suggested driving (a lot) faster is absolutely right! ?
