@RickMachE My car was built in November of 2020. Is this a job 0 car? Lol
I usually refer to vehicles assembled prior to Nov 23 as pre-OKTB cars.
But yeah.....Job 1 is the actual group.
I agree. I do hope they're not striving for getting it installed in some Early Access vehicles, then they can claim they met their deadline. If it's not operational in all pre-2022 vehicles that are equipped for it by 3/31/22 (absent a few for mechanical / user issues), then the deadline was blown.

Of course all I care about is that it's operational in my car :p
If that is the criteria then No. Not every 2021 vehicles equipped for BC will have it by April 1st. My car will not have it installed and functional by then.

Exactly. Updates yes. I’ve gotten some of the BC lead-in OTAs. BC itself? Nope, not for me. That’ll be “interesting” to see how that portion is handled.
Same for me. I won't be taking the blue pill. I plan to remain oblivious in the matrix with a very nicely working EV. I don't need to know what I am missing. :)

I am curious what is going to happen when the OTAs start to stack up and I don't ever press the UPDATE button. Eventually, after several months with no side effects then I might give it a try

I would bet there is a setting so you can turn BC off--just like you can turn off ICC. Someone with a Job 2 car can answer that.

Er that is if you wanted some of the functionality in the updates and didn't want BC.

(Like the better braking in 2.4.2.)

BlueCruise requires a payment for most, if not all, Job 1 cars. There won’t be any turning off if you don’t pay.

Job 1 cars will be getting 1 year free, the charged. Originally was supposed to be $600 for 3 years, we'll see if it remains that.

I assume on a vehicle with BC, if you just want to use Intelligent Cruise, you simply turn off a switch like Intelligent Cruise.

I would presume nothing. There are no BlueCruise roads here. I’d rather not have the feature at all.

Beginning to think it would be easier (albeit more $$$) to just trade in my Dec 2020 build for a fancy GT sitting at a dealer to get these promised features (not to mention skipping the (now delayed at my dealer) glass recalls, and expected dirty headliner as a result.) Maybe I'm just looking at these vehicles coming off the lots now with "zero problems" and have a little envy. ;)

I'm sure everything's coming under control and all will be fine.

And yet, part of me hopes Ford is accelerating this update to the folks in the "it's coming very soon!" category in spite of the doom and gloom "OMG, LOL" naysayers. ?
Bartender? I'll have what he's having.

Quite happy with the braking performance in the vehicle as is currently. Not sure what can be improved really.

When there is an update that allows battery cooling when parked on plug outside the charge schedule....then I will be first in line for that baby!

If “fully operational” means a few cars getting it by March 31, then I’m going to win that prediction (and I think I might have already?) If it means every Job 1 car will have it, then of course not and I want to change my vote.

I’ll also gonna confidently predict that I’m not gonna be one of those cars to receive it by March 31 even though I’m in the EAP. @Ford Motor Company prove me wrong.

I think this is what will happen. It'll be on early access cars before 3/31, and then it depends how that goes for everyone else. Hopefully mid April

Which, to me, means they missed what they promised. Putting it on Early Access cars is not rolling it out. It should not be celebrated as success.

Agreed, if they only ship OTA to Early Access cars, they have not achieved the goal. I think they will ship OTA to a small, select number of non-Early Access cars just so they can claim they made their goal. ???

Then again, my vote doesn’t count. Ford wouldn’t let me order Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0. ??
