Ok, so checked FDRS offline, my PSCM still showed.
I connected and did a network test, and now like you it shows -AM
Now PSCM has dropped off the list.
WooHoo....My car is now fully up to date with nothing listed in FDRS for updating...

I installed the HVAC update when it appeared a few days ago, and it disappeared from the list. But today there's an HVAC update back on the list. Not sure if this is a bug or another update already, but I guess I'll give it a try and see if the version changes.

Is anybody keeping a running list of the version number in the infotip when hovering over the update? I have started with the recent IPMA and PSCM, that weren't dropping off the list, to be able to identify when/if a new version appeared. Unfortunately, that laptop is sitting in my car at the airport so I can't compare the latest HVAC infotip number until I return in a week.

Edit: @ProximusAl is showing no updates as of three hours ago so I'm wondering if everyone has it or just certain vehicles.

This is weird. After I installed the HVAC update a few days ago, the installed version reported by FDRS went to LJ8T-18D619-AJ and it disappeared from the list. This morning, the HVAC update is back in the list, and now FDRS is reporting (before plugging in OBD) the installed version in my car is LJ8T-18D619-AF. When I plugged FDRS into my car today, it inventoried the modules, changed HVAC back to LJ8T-18D619-AJ and the update disappeared from the list. I didn't need to run the update again. This seems to be an issue with the versions changing in Ford's database.

Has anyone managed to find any improvements with this update? Does it keep recirc on longer or anything?

I'd be willing to bet that the HVAC module has a part in battery temperature management, so I'm sure that's how the update ties in. Nothing that we as users will notice. At least not right away.

Possibly.

I'll be thrilled if this update will allow the vehicle to protect the battery and electronics while the car is sitting, unplugged, in high ambient temps. If so, I hope Ford OTAs this before the end of May (2022).

This just dropped:

SSM 50645 - 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E - Lack/Loss Of Heat While Driving

Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit a lack/loss of heat while driving during freezing temperatures. The Workshop Manual, Section 412-00 pinpointtest J has been updated to aid in proper diagnosis. This may be due to the heating ventilation and air conditioning control (HVAC) module software. Recommend the customer to use AUTO Mode and adjust the temperature to maximize heater performance. This does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers they can continue to drive thevehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in late April 2022. Replacement or reprogramming of the HVAC will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
Sounds like engineering is still working on it, which might explain why the update keeps popping up and disappearing. I would hold off on this one until we see it's a stable release.

That is VERY good to see. I experienced that this winter when the temps went below 20° F the car would blow lukewarm air at best, even on max heat. Only keeping recirculate on would get it slightly warmer, but never hot. Had to rely on washer fluid to keep my windshield from freezing over one day.

What they should have wrote is to turn down the fan speed. The HVAC module acts as if there is unlimited heat available (like an ICE car) and will just keep increasing the fan speed when temperature on the heat register is getting lower. It just tries to compensate for lower temperature by trying to extract even more heat causing it to just keep going down.

They need to get a software update for this that automatically limits the fan speed whenever the temperature in the coolant is dropping, because it just goes into a circle, car gives less heat, driver turns the heater up, more heat is extracted and coolant is getting lower, car increases fan speed to compansate, air gets even colder, driver sets it to HI and the car responds by running the fan speed to MAX and staying at that, just keep lowering temperature until it is not possible to recover again.

The HI setting is completely useless for more than 1 minute as it cannot maintain the coolant temperature with the fan speed on max.

TSB 22-2182 is now released with a software fix. No idea when the latest version was released in FDRS, folks may want to check again.
