I'm very happy about this, and would welcome additional discounts with open arms.

The downsides:

1. Some of the FE reservists will back down and get Infinite Blue Mustangs. Stay away from Infinite Blue! That's just for me.

2. Infinite Blue real world samples have been not-very-attractive, so far. So I keep second guessing but I don't want any of the other colors either. Especially now since we're reminded that order mods are still possible. There was an AMAZING photo of an Iconic Silver with the broken frunk hood in Ontario, I think... But on reality, I look at silver cars that aren't professionally detailed like that one and they're just... whatever. Same with white and off-white. And the red is not for me. Nor the black. So whatever, I stick with muddy gray blue.

3. Extended range is only $2,000 more now. Ok, not really. But you know what I mean. The analytical part of my brain (which is shrinking every year, it seems) is telling me to stick with standard range. So I shall. But days like this one cause me to think it over again.
At least with the ER battery you can blast the A/C without any range anxiety. ;)

I'm not normally one that thinks Ford should throw in perks just because we want them. I usually kind of scoff when someone says that. But in this case, they just went from charging $1600 for the FE package to $3600, so adding something to justify that would sure seem logical.
point taken. but in the end they can set their price how ever they want, and we don't have to buy it. they do seem to be taking advantage of the lust to have the FE first. supply and demand and all that. Understandable, but all things considered, seems like a kinda cheesy thing to do to, yes.

Yeah or perhaps offer the first few OTA updates free or something of value - otherwise this is just the value of perceived benefit of early availability.
Wait -- Has Ford said that OTA updates will have to be paid for? I'm assuming to get some buggy software things fixed for free OTA for at least 6-12 months after delivery. If its new features (like what Telsa offers), then I suppose those should be paid for individually.

No they have not said that - what I meant to say was to offer some the features they would otherwise plan to charge (or offer discount) - although I was never going to pay for any such premium charge features ; the car is good for me as is

What about the Canadian’s, I haven’t seen this yet, I would love to change my order to an AWD if we see these reductions

Just so I understand... you would be happier if Ford scrapped the price drop because someone else received a larger discount?

I can see my Premium order again now, but now the key features and additional features are again blank. Are we having fun yet?

I am reconsidering the Mach Drop now. I ordered a Grabber Blue FE but I still have my GT reservation as well. Now it is a matter if I stay in the FE or drop it and wait for the GT. Switching to a Premium would delay my order to probably the same time as the GT.

Having the car this year to claim the tax credit now would be nice. However, for $3,600 you only get over the AWD Extended Range Premium:
- Color matched wheel arches
- Color matched mirror caps
- First Edition kick plates
- Red painted brake calibers front and back,
- Metal pedal covers
- Contrast stitching on the seats
- Delivery probably in 2020

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

For all those who ordered the FE why not just wait at this point. Everybody was saying that they wouldnt drop the price because of the high demand. They just announce the price drop. There's still over 2 months before delivery and at that time if there is no price change you can try to negotiate or ask for a Premium. There might some who are willing to pay the difference even though you don't and in essence swap orders.

Not sure what Ford is thinking? Raising the price by $2,000 for FE red calipers, red/blue stitching and door sill plates, to $3,600! The confusion and the lack of straightforward communication has made me reconsider doing business with Ford. I have owned 3 Tesla’s and ordered 2 Mach E’s (one premium and one FE) and was excited about a new perspective from Ford. Now, with VW, Volvo and others entering the market, my options are expanding.
At this point, what we need is direct communication from Ford with a sensible pricing program!
I think they are not considering it a price increase at all. Remember that they are reducing all the prices. The difference is they've decided to only reduce the FE by $1,000 but reduce the Premium by $3,000.

Official information is filtering out and it looks like we are supposed to get an email with the announcement from Ford:
