Looks like there might be some unsold FE's if people bale. I'm hanging in there, since I also have a GT on order and need the FE asap in the meantime. With the drop, the tax incentives etc, this FE still seems like a good value to me.
Which will lead to the next social media event--the Mach Flop. Seriously, Ford really needs to execute better. They have just managed to turn a price drop into a disappointment for many of the earliest buyers.

Now I have to decide if I want to keep that FE order just because I want Grabber Blue, or fall back to my original Premium Red since I never canceled that.
Not saying it will happen.....
But what would you choose if offered?
$1000 discount on a First Edition, free upgrade to Hands Free driving when it becomes available and earlier delivery of course

Or

$3000 discount on Premium and wait a bit longer for delivery?

What about the Canadian’s, I haven’t seen this yet, I would love to change my order to an AWD if we see these reductions
For me a $3.000 rebate would pay for mud flaps, pro ceramic wax, partial ppf on the hood and front bumper and side panels and not the least rust protection.

I have yet to get one but I did a dealer direct order and NOT an online order so hope that is the reason
No, it looks like they figured out mail merge this time. You should get one too.

I am not able to access the reservations section of Ford.com right now? Seems like their website is having some issues, it took forever to log in, and now the reservations section is blank for me.

As for the price drop -- I'm guessing they anticipate having surplus capacity later in the 2021 model year after all reservations have either been filled or canceled. I think everyone here would be pretty irate if they rolled out a multi-thousand $ discount next summer to move the last of the 2021s off the dealer lots. Glad Ford is doing the right thing now and adjusting the prices for the entire model year now. I'm guessing we'll see the 2022s go even lower on price across all the trims.
If there is surplus capacity later in the 2021 model year, I would expect a further price decrease or, more likely, a promo offer such as cash back. That is what they do with virtually all models in that situation and that would not be offensive to me.

many on here anyway. not sure how many outside of this very vocal forum feel about it. I have a very strong belief that this site is not representative of the Mach-E buying public, or the public at large, for many reasons.

I'm very happy that I am going to be paying $1000 less. I agreed to buy a FE at a certain price, and now I'm paying less. I never looked at the FE as "Premium plus a package" (even if that's how it's being presented on the Ford order site or whatever). I look at it as "the first one out the door and in the driveway, with special indication of that fact, including a certain amount of pride knowing that I got a First Edition and helped blaze a trail." The price difference against any other SKU was never part of the equation for me. It goes back to what I said elsewhere on here - it costs what it costs. Now, that's less. Less is good.

I'm not intending to discount that others are looking at it differently for whatever reason. Just giving the explanation for how I am looking at it and how I think some others on here are looking at it.

There is no mistake. The price of the FE will stay the same because of the demand for it. The volume is lower and demand is high.
Damn you Adam Smith!

yeah I saw that but since my dealer has never request a deposit I have been paranoid that I don't have an actual order even though I have an email for ford with an order number (even though it is only 4 digits).

For all those who ordered the FE why not just wait at this point. Everybody was saying that they wouldnt drop the price because of the high demand. They just announce the price drop. There's still over 2 months before delivery and at that time if there is no price change you can try to negotiate or ask for a Premium.
No, at least for those of us in the USA, if you haven’t already converted your FE Reservation to an Order --- you don’t have either a reservation or an order.

These FE’s will be going down the assembly line in about 21 days at the most.

Ditto.

FWIW I did manage to get on the Ford reservation website around 7 am Hawaiian time this morning and the changes were made.
I previously had a premium order. I changed to a FE via the Mach Drop program. My premium is still shown on the ford owner site. The price is reduced though. Now I think I just want the Premium. Uggh

You are entitled to your opinion but this is a business decision for many and their concern does not merit disparaging comments about how they are or are not “acting”.
Agree. You would think I was complaining about a "Start" button . . . :)
