In the UK you can have an hour.
I thought the minimum in the UK was 24 hours. It would really suck to start some updates that take more than an hour and have the license expire before they're done.

Also, the EA chargers I use don’t seem to recognize plug & charge. I authorize using FordPass.
There are a couple of tricks that were documented on the forum a long time ago, not sure if either of these are your issue:
  1. The car must be turned off when initiating plug & charge
  2. All the doors must be closed when initiating
I follow those steps and it always works.

Turn the hotspot back off. All you're doing is wasting data.

I have no idea which module updates the curve, but if they didn't complete 21P22, which updates up to 13 modules, they need to.

You need to have a good grasp of how modules update, and things to do / not do. I wouldn't consider using it myself, and neither should you.
Thanks

As suspected, your dealer did not do all the updates. Not even close. It looks like the only one they even tried was the OBCC on March 10th.
I spoke to the dealer and about 7 different departments in Ford. Bottom line is that while 21P22 will apply to my MME, it has not yet been released to my vin so it is not yet available for the dealer’s service dept. to install it.

According to the OTA department I will get 21P22 via OTA but couldn’t say when. There was no way to force it. Be patient I guess.

Somebody is lying to you. I got that list of updates from FDRS specifically for your VIN. That’s the same system the dealer uses to do the updates.

Is this just a question of timing?

If his car isn't a Job 1 car, it didn't qualify.

Now, if it's through 9/30 (or something like that), it qualifies. Otherwise, whether there are updates showing or not, they don't get applied for free.

I’m not doubting your info. Multiple Ford departments gave me the same answer. I have no choice but to wait for the OTA.

The dealer did say 21G01 was available but that is BlueCruise related.

When was your car produced?

Did they give you that answer recently? Your car wasn't included in the original 21P22 dates, but it is now. Print out the updated CSP 21P22 pdf and bring it with you to the dealer. They can do it at the same time as 21G01.

When was your car produced?
His build date was 6/28/21.

Right. I should have said Ford won't necessarily pay for the updates on later built cars.
My car was built Oct 15th 2021, have not used a DCFC yet, so I don’t even know if I have the modified charging curve?! Regards, Bill csg
