This is the Mache First edition car number 1 being sold to the public. was finished last night.
Total number of confirmed orders now 54,439 units. 3,000 are supposed to be First edition.
The development team is in talks about maybe the GT getting a heat pump.
I myself will get to test drive and ride in the mache on November 1st 2020
There was no big fan fair on the increase 0 to 60 times because dearborn didn't consider the numbers given at the time as final.
Final range numbers and incentives are to roll out the end of this month.

more info. Production will be starting this week people exciting.
the line goes a little slow just this week they started to lower the paint units and they have already finished over 400 units in the body shop.

The last few "first ones" have gone to auction, because the selling price becomes insane since collectors want them. Likely will fetch way north of $100K.

The first GT500 a couple years ago went for over $1 million. Nuts.

Nice.

3000 FEs......I think that was the most common guesstimate all summer.

54k confirmed orders and Europe orders haven't opened yet?
Is that 3000 US or 3000 total?

In short a heat pump is your A/C running in reverse (taking heat from outside and bringing it inside).

It is a very efficient way to heat an EV except that it only works down to about 40F.
And you could have a dual system that the heat pump is reinforce with a regular resistive heating system for low temp. like on the Leaf I think.

Yep, that's the way they all work --- resistance electric heaters take over at colder temps --- not much heat energy in sub 30F air to pump into the vehicle.

I've got a couple of Nissan Leafs with heat pumps and they work pretty well down to that temp.
Whether they are worth the extra cost and complexity for that relatively narrow temp range they are designed for is up for debate.

Personally, I think pre-heating the vehicle before departure / heat seaters on / steering wheel heater on and a warm jacket are a better choice.

And somehow they’ve completely forgotten about my Infinite Blue first Edituon I ordered in February. Imagine that. ;)
They're still trying to figure out what infinite blue should look like. ?

In South Florida.

Can I get the heater removed? Don't need all that extra weight in the car that will never be used!!!

I was hoping for A/C seats...............
