I was entering a freeway from a ramp and suddenly I got a error. I don't remember specific error "One pedal system fault. Use break to reduce speed or something".
After the error my car won't go over 40mph. I got honked from behind. (They could see I had blinkers on and was driving on corner of road but they had to honk)
I was depressing the accelerator pedal fully just to go at 36-40mph. At the same time scared that car shouldn't accelerate suddenly. Somehow I managed to get off freeway and then I noticed that if I let go of accelerator, the car would speed up. So I was driving like a dumb person with jerks. I just wanted to get to safe spot to turn off my car.
Now the error has gone but I have "service vehicle soon" error on the IPC screen.
What should I do? (Not drive the vehicle in the mean time?)
It seems drivable now with break and accelerator working but the error is still there. Did someone experience this?
I am very unhappy with the car @Ford Motor Company.
This is the second time car is doing this. First time was some HVB battery fault and my driving would be on low end of spectrum of average driver. Over 1 year I drove for 5900 miles.

I'd call the dealer and attempt to drive it over if it's not too far or involve freeway driving. Otherwise request a tow

The error magically disappeared after car was in parking for a while. But that is a serious issue and I don’t know if dealership would be able to find out on what even happened.

An issue like that will have error codes. Especially if there were warning messages. The dealer can check them and run diagnostics

I would take it in pronto. You're local to my area, I had a great experience with similar serious issues at Sunnyvale Ford, service advisor Andersen.

I took the car to dealer and they said the powertrain issue was due to missing software update in one of the modules. (Secondary On-board diagnostic control module).

They told me that they also did the bluecruise programming and took care of recalls.

But

a) Bluecruise doesn't work. Actually my lane centering has stopped working. I get the bluecruise graphic even in parking lot but it actually doesn't do anything. On highway, when I turn adaptive cruise control, I only get a speed control but car doesn't auto-steer in the lane.

b) Fordpass still shows bluecruise as coming soon.

c) Fordpass still shows me the recalls to be done.

Does someone know what is wrong and how do I fix them. I called the dealer and they told they have completed the procedure as given by Ford.

I attached the photo of IPC in parking lot.

That's what your IPC shows when you are parked in a parking lot?

There is something wrong. The blue screen you show should only appear when the car is on a Blue Cruise mapped highway and both the cruise control and lane centering systems are engaged. Since it can easily be duplicated, there should be no issue of the dealer being able to fix it. The question is how long that will take.

I believe I read somewhere that the dealer has to enter the recall info into the Ford system and then the Fordpass recall info will clear. May take awhile. Also have you checked your settings to ensure nothing has changed regarding lane centering? I do not have BlueCruise so can not help you on that.

Yup1 I have. The thing is, it is not only bluecruise which doesn't work but now lane centering/lane keep assist both don't work. If I go off the lane, then system shows orange line but it won't bring me back as it used to do before.

What is wrong is bad software. How to fix is a mystery, even to Ford. Best chance is to buy your own kit and a license for the Ford diagnostic software, learn some IT skills and then try installing yourself. Several on here have done it with success......sometimes after several tries but they eventually get there.

Very sad. I got my vehicle back from dealership exactly in same condition I gave them. Initially, it was hard to convince them that there is a problem and now they tell me they have contact Ford and are waiting for response whatever that means. I need to take my vehicle back once ford responds.
