I guess that depends how many they were planning to do.

And as we know none of those shown in this list are OTAs so they won't get done if not with FDRS.

And the crazy part is none of those take very long to do. Literally minutes.

I'm an early GT build, so no OTAs so far, beyond a map update. I'm bringing my car in tomorrow because I'm plagued by the blank main screen randomly on startup problem (reset brings it back - but it seems to be getting more frequent... and it's just annoying). I'll also be asking about these updates... Thanks!

After being stuck getting to 1.7.1 for almost seven months and being at the second dealership for 8 days including the weekend, I received a call today from the dealership saying my car is ready for pickup tomorrow. I also received a message in FP saying "Your Ford bluecruise feature is ready". Very happy with this. Just in case there is something outstanding, will someone please run VIN 3FMTK3R70MMA21065? Truly appreciate it.

Several of these would be covered under CSP 21P22. I don't know if you're getting OTAs or not or what your Sync version is. You may want to ask your service writer to check and see if there's an issue with you receiving OTAs.

So should I go to a dealer and ask for these to be done?
Well many of them are covered under CSP 21P22 so that program would pay for that programming to be done. Other modules like the IPMA, CCR, CMR should be coming as OTAs but you may not be getting OTAs for some reason so they could check that out. Some are not covered under any funded program (like the HVAC for example), so if they're willing to do those while the car is in there....

Just got mine back took 2 weeks, so far everything works, I have a first edition. Thanks for the help mach e family.

Also I went to mark ficken ford in Charlotte. I was their guinea pig. Plan for 2 weeks and stress a loaner!

Should sync update automatically OTA?
It should yes. But in many cases people got 'stuck' last fall when an OTA was sent out that caused their APIM to have corrupted data left behind after that OTA processed (as I understand the history) and it left those vehicles unable to receive new OTA updates as a result. It may have also affected the TCU which is the modem the car uses to contact Ford. Anyway, there have been two TSBs put out to fix these 'stuck' issues and they are TSB 22-2150 and CSP 22B08.

So if you think that your APIM or TCU being stuck is the reason you have not been getting OTAs I would contact your service desk and mention these programs by number and request that your car be checked (and mention that you're not getting OTAs).
