Well many of them are covered under CSP 21P22 so that program would pay for that programming to be done. Other modules like the IPMA, CCR, CMR should be coming as OTAs but you may not be getting OTAs for some reason so they could check that out. Some are not covered under any funded program (like the HVAC for example), so if they're willing to do those while the car is in there....

Mike
Are October 2021 builds now covered under 21P22?

So help me understand what I do here? The car has updates available.

But I can't do said updates? All because my car was built a week later than others.

You may be able to match up a couple of the updates with TSBs, but your best bet at this point is just to wait for OTA updates or for 21P22 to be extended to later build dates. Are you having any specific issues that may be addressed with these updates?

Yeah my car isn't the same as other 2021 models. I don't have the EV routing built into Apple Maps. I don't have the increased charging curve after 80%. It doesn't matter if I'm having problems.

Do you wait for a problem on your phone to do an update?

No I know you are and I appreciate it...I'm just frustrated that this is even an issue.

I should just be able to go to the dealership and say here's my car there are updates do them.

I understand your frustration. I'm also the kind of person that wants all updates immediately. With the pace of updates coming out for the MME, I quickly realized that the only way my car was going to stay up to date was to purchase an FDRS license and do the updates myself. I know it sucks to spend the money, but if you don't want to wait, that's really the only way.

@wheelsee you may have a way to get relief if you are not getting OTAs because your APIM, TCU, or GWM are stuck. One of the indications of a stuck APIM are a Sync version with "--" where the version number should be or a greyed out "updates" button in your settings. I don't know if that's your situation or not though. But taking it to the dealer with the customer complaint of "OTAs failing to download or apply" might be a strategy to get your car evaluated and possible repairs made.

The FDRS license is $50 for 2 days or $900 for a year. The Mongoose adapter is $495. A 12V power supply will run you between $100 and $500ish, but people have gotten away with using jumper cables and another car instead of a dedicated power supply (not that I'm recommending that).

Right. Sorry, I take for granted that people have access to a computer. If not, you'll need one. If you just have a Mac, I'm pretty sure it will work with VirtualBox and a demo copy of Windows.

I'm curious what's listed for this one, wondering how long it's going to take the dealer if they have to deal with it.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 1654875168259

None of these take a particularly long time, but I don't think there are any TSBs that would apply for these updates on a 2022, except maybe the HVAC.
