Some awesome members here have signed up for an FDRS account and have offered to run VINs and show what module updates are available for their Mach-E. Those offers can get buried in a thread, and I thought a stand-alone post might get more attention and be easier to spot the offer.
I have a 2021 that I acquired in December. I have auto updates enabled, but have no idea what has been going on in the background. My Wi-Fi reaches my garage, but isn't very strong out there.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could let me know my status.

My VIN is 3FMTK3SU5MMA47158

Thanks in advance for any help.

Your car was built the 19th of July 2021. I think you have a Job 2 car that already has BlueCruise correct?

Thanks, Mike. A pretty hefty list of uninstalled updates. I need to get that fixed! Anything on the list that is particularly important? Maybe I need to schedule an appointment with the dealer.

And yes, I have BlueCruise available and have used it a couple of times.

Wishing you the best!

So an early Job 2 car. I believe (because others on this forum have said as much) that early Job 2 builds were now eligible to be covered under CSP 21P22 which would take care of quite a few of those updates. I've attached the procedure so you can read which ones would be knocked out under this program. For the rest you'd either have to wait for the OTA fairy or talk the service manager into doing those while the car was in the shop already connected up to the laptop. I hear they usually like doughnuts, but it may be different where you live.

Shortest VIN ever. Normally they're 17 characters. You must have gotten one of the first ones. Well done you!

Mike
Yeah, sorry. I did something on my PC in moving around my window sticker to get the VIN, I must have hit Post. Sorry all!

Doughnuts are perfectly legitimate currency. I have bribed @DevSecOps and @scoopman to update my car with them. Do not underestimate the power of the doughnut! ??

I would love it if someone could check mine - VIN # 3FMTK1RM7MMA07710

As far as I can tell, the SW has never updated as long as I've owned it. I have taken it to the dealer multiple times. They state they completed CSP 21P22 but that didn't do anything. My app also shows 22B08 Electronic Contol Module Recovery needed but the dealership said they couldn't do that yet. They "tried" but stated after talking to Ford that Ford said the solution for this isn't ready yet and they wouldn't send an APIM for replacement. Honestly not sure if I am confused because what they were saying didn't make a lot of sense to me and I see everyone getting theirs fixed so it's a bit frustrating. They said they would "monitor" for when a solution was available and then call me back. That was over a month ago.

You car's build date, for reference, is 5 Jan 2021.

So the bulk of the most recent work was performed on the 12th and 13th of May. The tech did clearly do all the updates covered in 21P22 cause the three above aren't in that list.

On the 13th they ran into a problem trying to update your APIM apparently due to the inability to download a file from the server. For reasons that are not clear to me from viewing the log they next tried a Module Update Repair (which is the 22B08 you are referring to). In fact they did that procedure twice that day. The laptop couldn't connect to the APIM successfully with whatever connections they were trying it with. I don't know if they had the proper adapters or not.

Since then (16th, 20th May) they have logged in to PTS and have pulled your VIN (I'm assuming to check the status of your car) to see if there any changes.

I don't know what version of Sync you have showing in your "Sync About" page.

I can't tell from what I'm seeing if you're APIM is actually stuck or not.

Some people have had success updating their APIM (Sync) by creating the USB drive with the files on it, inserting it into the car's USB port and just waiting for the update to run as they drive the car around. One forum member has stated that it took about a month for the update to kick off, but once it did he started getting OTAs again.

You don't have many updates pending though so that's good.

Thank you Mike, this is so helpful and actually reassuring! According to the widget my version of Sync is listed as 4.0.20301. I will try the USB as suggested. I don’t know where to get the files I need however - do you have a link? Thank you so much again for providing all this info!

It looks on the surface like you have a 2020 version of Sync. As an example the version I have in my 2021 car right now is 4.0.022095.

No link. These files aren't available for download like the old Sync 3 versions were from the Ford Owner website. The folks I mentioned that had done that had/have the Ford FDRS software that has the ability to download and update their own vehicles modules.

You should go back to the dealer and see if they would be willing to try those TSBs again. I've attached them here.

Your car has a 22 Sep 21 build date, it is a "Job 2" car.

Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 21P22 (not a 'recall') would support updating the PCM, SOBDMC, BCM, BECM, SOBDM, and SOBDMB on your car. The other updates are not that critical. If you suggest to the tech that you are having problems storing more than one driver profile (button 1, 2, 3 etc) they may perform the DSM as a warranty update. If you are having problems with charging your cell phone, the tech may perform the WACM update as a warranty update. I don't know if you're having those specific issues or not obviously.
