I thought Select RWD were being produced faster

Am I being unreasonable to think I should have received a production date within 3 months after ordering? I’ve seen several similar situations, and many received a production date within 9 weeks. Is it because of the recall?

It is not unreasonable but unfortunately some people have waited for over a year. So it can take over three months in some cases. There may have been a slight delay due to the recall but it appears vehicles built around May 25th will soon be arriving at some dealers. Have you checked with your dealer? They may (or may not) have additional information regarding the production date for your order.

I did. He told me a few weeks ago that, because Selects have much fewer chips, I should be hearing something very soon. Crickets

I ordered a Select, SR, RWD with comfort/technology(yes, I know, more chips) on October 1, 2021 and got a build date in May for June 4. Still has not been built yet, been "in Production" since 5/27 due to recall. May get built this week based upon the batches that were completed last week.

Been on this forum long enough to realize I can’t complain since people who ordered last November don’t have their cars? So I am looking at this as possibly 9 months, and if it’s sooner I’ll be pleasantly surprised. I ordered on 3/27 select, AWD, C&T package… no date. And with the recall? It’s anyones guess. I’m thinking ? or ? timeframe

I ordered a select with comfort and tech package on 3/11/2022 through fords website. Hopeful a schedule for production around ? or ?. Though seeing posts here I wouldn’t be shocked if early 2023. Appears to be around 8-12 months for the total time to delivery.

Ah.

You’re gonna need a lot more patience than that. Especially with the open recall going on.

It all depends on your dealer's allocation, I helped few friends order through my dealer on April cut off date to order the Mach E, they all got their production dates in May, all were select.

Wow. Pretty frustrating that people ordering after mine already received production dates. Oh well…I’ll just wait it out

You're just going through the phases of ordering. Very soon you'll move past frustration to despair, then pleading, until you finally end up at acceptance.

I ordered a Premium, so I'm in a different boat than you, but I'm at nearly 8 months without a VIN. I've seen many people order and have cars delivered in that time, there really isn't much rhyme or reason, they'll get built when they get built.
