After using Fordpass you went out and bought their charger for the app? Your charging station maybe is in a deep sleep and can not come to the phone right now. ;)
I bought the FCCS back when FordPass was still decent. ?

I was the first person on the forum to experience the amber light charging slowdowns with the mobile charger. It was early May '21. My garage gets pretty hot and the mobile EVSE doesn't seem built for heat. The FCCS was available same day from a local dealer while the ChargePoint Home Flex was out of stock.

I should've held out for the ChargePoint, probably. ? But the charging thing made me nervous since this is my only vehicle and I must drive in every day for work.

PAAK issues for me. PAAK was always very inconsistent for me. I usually had to force close and reopen the Ford app to get it to work but then it always would. On July 1st I got a new iPhone 13. So I deleted my previous PAAK from the car and setup on the new phone and it was working great for 4 days. No issues and I was thinking great the PAAK problems are finally fixed.

Then I went away on the 6th leaving my Mach-e in the garage. While away the Ford app updated to latest 4.17.1. I got back home on the 10th and now Ford Pass had forgotten about my PAAK and had the setup message even after restarting. I went through the process of deleting the PAAK and recreating it again. The next morning however I was able to open the door, but could not start the car even after restarting the app. Ended up grabbing the fob cause I had to catch a train which I ended up missing anyway. Very frustrated as PAAK seems worse then ever now.

this is a silly question, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what version I have? I googled it and it says it should be at the bottom of the Account "page" within the app, but it's not...thoughts? tyia!! (FYI - I do see the trunk button, but it is not highlighted like "horn".

What is your phone? Apps store Play store search fordpass normally it will be displayed.

It appears our recent app update has solved the ‘Set Up Phone as a Key’ issue for some users, but not all. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please DM us your VIN and we’ll work to determine the root cause of why this continues to occur.

On an android phone it's inside the play store. When you find the app don't open it just press the icon.

Last week I posted I had to reset everything after the Paak would not work and we used fob to unlock car. So a reset happened to car around same time. We even lost the charging settings.
The phone has otherwise worked to lock/unlock and remote start.

All buttons showed up and worked as expected when the car was purchased new in May.
I am a long-time user of FordPass as we used it with our 2019 Ford Expedition so the dealer set up the Mach E and removed the Expedition as it was traded.

Sometime later the frunk/windows buttons would disappear from time to time and then just remained missing. Within the past week, or so experienced an event that lost all settings in the car we had to set up everything all over again including charge settings.

We are able to unlock/lock and remote start and it allows us to use and drive with our phone.
But, we started keeping the fob with us after everything was reset as a safety precaution.

Not really a big deal but it would be nice to have it work as it did on day one of ownership!

You might try deleting and reinstalling your Paak key.

I waited to set up PaaK until after the 22S41 updates, and the 4.17 release, actually might have been 4.17.1. I'm also using iOS 15.5. With that combination of software I now have a remote frunk button on my Job 2 4XP. (8 Jul 21)

The button range appears to be much less than the door lock button, but I now use the frunk almost exclusively over the trunk.

I had to do that when the car lost all of its settings a week ago.

It is obvious to me that something changed either on the car side or FordPass app side since it was first setup.
Repeated app updates haven't solved the issues up to now and my iPhone didn't change nor did my iOS 15.5 until yesterday when I loaded 16 beta.

Not life-impacting like the 22S41 recall but it worked when new off the lot and would be nice to have on a $60K car IMO.

It was a cool feature that my wife liked to show off to her friends and now she just carries the fob like a regular car now. :(

Bummer, not sure what that's all about. I have to admit, now that I'm PaaKing I do enjoy turning heads in the parking lot as the frunk opens, sounding like some beast from a Transformer flick.

It's also resulted in a couple encounters with former Tesla owners who are curious about my experience.

Yes the remote start and lock/unlock are server based. The rest of the smaller buttons are Bluetooth. Mine disappeared after the last two updates after working flawlessly for just under the year that I have owned the car. As someone that only received one fob with my car I find this unacceptable. If you scroll up you will see a post from Ford offering assistance in DM. I messaged them and they responded with steps to take to correct this issue. The steps are the same ones I have done dozens of times now but I did them again. Of course it didn’t work and the Ford people I was direct messaging have gone silent.

OK, so Ford had me look at my account on the web to see if the email I had matched my Fordpass user name. It did but the case was different. I edited the email to match the user name. Then I deleted my PAAK key IN THE CAR. It’s under settings, general reset Fordpass then Reset Key. Then deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled. Setup PAAK again and guess what. IT WORKED

So the problem for me was User ID and Email did not exactly match
