Yes, I will renew it when my free subscription ends. BlueCruise works great on the 3 freeways I drive on most frequently, and I am looking forward to using it when I drive to Phoenix in a couple weeks.
I am actually headed to Carlsbad from Phoenix at the end of this month. I am planning on taking I-8 via San Diego on the way there and this will be my first trip to try it out. I may return on I-10 to try it out there also.

Aww, you never use cruise control?

Hopefully you stay in the right lane on the highway!

Super frustrating when someone parks in the left lane with no cruise control and keeps speeding up and slowing down for no reason.

CC isn’t just a convenience, it helps with safety, efficiency, and helps reduce traffic.
I agree someone that parks in the left lane or any lane for that matter, that keeps changing speeds is frustrating. For those people I can see cruise control helping out but I have no problem staying in any lane driving at a constant speed and don't need something to help me do that.

Actually, it's often worse when someone parks in the left lane WITH cruise control on. And refuses to speed up to get over when a faster car comes up behind them. It's especially bad when they park there and refuse to change speed when the car in the next lane is doing nearly the same speed, and it takes them 90 second to inch by.

Good luck getting a charge in or near Carlsbad NM. There's a few L2's there but that looks like it. Those new DCFC's at the Allsups Convenience Stores still aren't in yet (been waiting for a year) in Carlsbad, Roswell, Artesia, etc. We've been wanting to do a trip through there (coming down from Denver) but keep holding off until one of those stations finally opens to fill the gap.

IMHO:
No. I won’t pay for it. The only difference between blue cruise and the adaptive cruise with lane centering is whether I have to be touching the steering wheel. And what else am I supposed to do with my hands while not touching the steering wheel? May as well rest one on the wheel.
If BlueCruise changed lanes for me… I might consider it.
It will change lanes in the future, and I would give you options for what to do with your hands but forum rules prevent me. ?

Roswell has ultra high speed charging, but you're not authorized to use it.

Both are bad.

But I would still prefer people use cruise control to keep trafficking flowing. And intelligent cruise even better to reduce people slamming on the brakes.

They’re all drivers aids, not driver replacements. Still gotta pay attention.

Yeah, agree with the first and last paragraph's in particular.

Once in a while I do get stuck behind someone that slows down on a hill because they're failing to adjust. I assume that's kinda what you talking about in #2 there. That is annoying. But it seems more often that I get stuck behind someone on cruise control that refuses to speed up when sloooowly creeping by the car next to them. Although the worst at that are semi trucks. I normally give them a lot of latitude because it's a tough job and they have limits on what their vehicles can do, but it drives me up the wall when they do the "slow creep" pass in the left lane. If you're gonna pass, then PASS.

I use ACC a lot. But it's annoying too as it slams on the brakes (regen) when a car cuts in front of me and shortens that gap. Like you say, still gotta pay attention and make adjustments when there's other cars nearby, CC or not.

You’re the one stopping by random hotels to see if you can “easily insert” or not. Does the wife know? ?

That's disgusting. To accuse me of that is simply wrong.

My wife was with me when I did the insertion, which was only for a few minutes. Since I got a charge out of it, she was fine with it.

I am going to Carlsbad, CA, not NM.

So many assumptions, but first the obvious. Believe this thread asks for opinions on Blue Cruise not Cruise Control. I find cruise control helpful at times. I do like adaptive cruise in traffic, I'm still driving the car, and I'm usually in a center lane just going with the flow. I think Blue Cruise is about more than that though. It's an effort to move toward full self driving. I don't need that and so I don't want it. So, no worries about me blocking your inside lane. I learned long ago that the best way to minimize how many others were in my way is to just slow down. That's just chill bro.

I have had blue cruise for several months and am incredibly unimpressed. It works very episodically and for minutes at a time prior to telling me it is cancelled or, please put hands on the wheel. It has become more of a problem to watch than have it not on. It does not seem to work next to barriers or in car pool lanes. Are others having similar experiences? Unless there is a dramtic improvement, I will not be paying for it.
Works very well on my car. Especially on long trips on the highways. I don't know why, I am on the east coast. But I have had no issues, in construction zones, it does drop off occasionally but I disengage cruise anyway in a construction zone. I recently drove from Miami to DC almost entirely on I95 , used blue cruise almost 96% of the time. I would definitely pay for it.
