Yeah that's a known thing - it's the intelligent suggestions thingy not being very intelligent.Has anybody else had the issue of a dab+ popup keep appearing on the screen every minute or so, whatever source you are listening to at the time. Have tried disabling every radio and dab option, but doesn't seem to work. Have deleted my profiles and added again still does the pop up. Not that important, but distracting.
Back in the day when Ford first issued the recall for the windscreen/pano roof, dealers had notification from Ford that ALL cars that were subject to the windscreen recall that had the pano roof were to automatically have the windscreen replaced. No need for "testing". They were told to preorder a new screen BEFORE calling in the car so that all the work could be done at the same time. They also said that the code in the bottom nearside corner determined what action was likely to be needed. My replacement screen was on order for about 10 weeks. Hopefully stocks will be better now. You are quite right in saying that dealers most likely will only do the updates that Ford tell them to (dealer only updates) as these are the only ones they get paid for. This is were it comes in handy to have a good relationship with your dealer. If he wants to keep your custom he'll do them for you. If he's not interested then he wont. Unfortunately they are only obligated to do the ones that Ford tell them to.Hi All
New poster here but long time follower of this forum and peoples posts. I've been turning to this forum since April 2021 (page 360) when we first ordered our Mach E, and all of the posts has helped massively understand the car before and after arrival.
Car history
Ordered: End March 2021
ETA: December 2021
Notification the car exists (VIN): April 2021
Tracking (using all the tools advertised on here): Discovered our Mach E was in Antwerp April 2021 - Wow!
New ETA: July 2021 - sound about right with the 2 months or so QA
New ETA: September 2021
Enquiries with concierge Hannah: Our Mach E was one of the batch that had major heart trouble and needed the High-Voltage battery replacing!
Received: Early September 2021
Summary: All in all a short timeline compared to some others and Mach E is in full working order, well to the extent that we experience some of the issues/bugs already highlighted by you all. Loving the Mach E and wouldn't go back to an ICE.

In Oct/Nov 2021 we received 1.6.0 around the time window that 1.6.0 was being pushed OTA, then that is where it ended! Of course you have all highlighted the stuck update of 1.7.1 so I thought fair enough and is part of the dealer fix. However, in June 2022 we received 1.7.1 but it failed and we don't have any additional features, why would Ford still push an OTA that they know is buggy and not pull this from the servers I do not know.
Travel
Local mainly but a couple of trips from Yorkshire to Glasgow. The stopping points for us are Gretna Green Ionity (4 chargers usually busy and a small wait for people considerately charging to 80%), then Polmadie Ionity (6 chargers usually all empty). Charge Scotland never seem to work for me and are frustrating, maybe it's a subscription thing but even if I use my bank card it still doesn't work.
I have a trip coming up in the near future from Yorkshire to Swansea, anyone have any suggestions on fast chargers on or about the motorway network - M1 > A42/M42 > M5 > M4?
Recalls
Pano roof (21S42), windscreen (21C22), Software update (21P22) and HV contactor welding (22S41) booked in for next week 04/08/2022.
Now, our Mach E is through Zenith so we don't have a dealership as such, never mind a "friendly" dealer. They've booked us in to a local Ford dealership and I've spoken to them to see if they have experience, correct cables, have performed these on their loaners etc. (thanks to you guys on here) and they do/have.
When asked they said it will be with them a couple of days which is fine, but I thought this may take longer, so I asked what was involved. The pano roof reseal fine, windscreen they say they test it and if the results are a fail then they order a new screen and a specialist then installs, I thought that Ford published a list of VINs that need the windscreen replacing (ours will be a day 1 car)!
They say 21P22 & 22S41 software updates would take around 1/2 day, I know our Mach E will be well out of date for module updates etc. and I'm imagining the dealer is only going to do what Ford has agreed they can bill, and not a day or two of a full software sweep.
Any advice on how I can wangle the dealer to do the full updates? One thought is that Zenith have put on their case with us (and maybe the dealership) "Software updates" and I would argue this is ALL updates from FDRS and if there is any time overrun then bill Zenith - any thoughts?
Anyway, sorry for the long waffle, but an intro from me and where I am at.
Your advice has alway been welcome even when I'm reader and not a poster, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the reply and that is what I thought that they should know from the reg/VIN that it is or isn't on the list, by having a recall notice I'm pretty confident I'm on the list. When it was booked in about a month ago I was surprised I didn't hear that they have to order and they'll be in touch. I read you post and others so a 10 week or sooner wouldn't have been a shock.Back in the day when Ford first issued the recall for the windscreen/pano roof, dealers had notification from Ford that ALL cars that were subject to the windscreen recall that had the pano roof were to automatically have the windscreen replaced. My other thoughts are that if the dealer maxes out their time spend doing the recall updates and they are not complete they uncheck that the recall is required, an earlier post experience I believei complained to Ford Mach E Team about my Evans Halshaw dealership. they called the dealer and confirmed to me that no recall was pending and that the dealer had done the work. (what @Wonky_Donkey posted a couple of days ago).
they also gave me £50 Amazon gift voucher. this is the 2nd gift voucher i got from Ford.
at this rate, the car will pay for itself!
Yeah. i am taking the car to another EH dealer to check the software but i have stopped worrying. what will happen will happen. My other thoughts are that if the dealer maxes out their time spend doing the recall updates and they are not complete they uncheck that the recall is required, an earlier post experience I believe
Thanks for the reply. Intelligent Suggestions was turned off, but after toggling the switch off a few times seems to have stopped the popup.

yes I did at the beginning when I have tried listening to the radio. I later tried flicking the DAB radio card down (send to trash) and it is gone.Has anybody else had the issue of a dab+ popup keep appearing on the screen every minute or so, whatever source you are listening to at the time.
