I have been waiting for the OTA's. Nothing since the Blue Cruise map update. I have a trip planned in a few weeks with DCFC, so will make an appointment with my dealer and I may as well get everything done. Thanks.

Wow that’s quite a bit of SW updates. Should I schedule with a dealer to update all of these along with the recall instead of waiting for OTA?

All,

I got into my dealership today to get the recall performed which went off fairly smoothly considering it's still the only Mach E they have sold and the first time they were running these on the car. The 1 PD was disabled and gave me a little bit of jolt as I was backing out of the lot, but everything else seems about the same.

I did show them the list of the other pending updates Mike had sent me a list of and am hoping they did install them also. Can someone run my VIN # 3FMTK3R72MMA62801 through the FDRS system so I can confirm what was upgraded and what wasn't? Thanks in advance.

10 Dec '21 build dte, Job 2 car.

Here's your list of currently available updates:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 3FMTK3R72MMA62801-30-July-22

You'll need complaints to match some of these I'm afraid. They can't charge labor for updating things if there is no customer complaint to go with updating a given module.

I see the CCM, CMR, and IPMA a lot on Job 2 cars and it's all related to cruise control but I don't know what it was designed to correct. I've seen the Body Controller (BCM) on a few also but again, on Job 2 cars I have no idea what they were addressing with that update. I'll ask around to see if anyone knows.

Not surprised your 1 PD was turned off when you got the car..given the tech at the shop was probably freaked out when he drove it into the shop and didn't have to use the brakes. They probably have zero experience with 1 PD. I always find they've turned off my "auto-hold" when I get the car back.

Although those of us with FDRS access can look up and see what updates you may have available and view the service history (programming, diagnostic efforts) we can't see the DTCs you may have. That's in PTS. Your service manager can see your DTCs on his computers PTS connected vehicle 'dashboard' since your car is always talking to the mothership. So you can call them to consult. The "Stop safely now" topic is pretty familiar to a lot of people right now, and it may involve your high voltage junction box contactors.

First of all, many thanks for your help. Wow - I have the car set for automatic software updates, so this is crazy. A coliseum? Umm....no:(

I have Power-Up 2.8.3 (if that means anything). The question I have is what do I do?
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Your 25 Aug '21 build date means you are entitled to get some of these updates performed under CSP 21P22 (free). You will also be getting about 5 of them done as part of the 22S41 recall.

Because you have a Job 2 car you likely already have working BlueCruise so if you took your car in for the CSP 21P22 and the 22S41 recall and had no other complaints you would likely get your car back with these updates still showing as available: CCM, IPMA, PSCM, BCM, VDM, WACM, DSM, HVAC, RFA, and possibly the GSM.

You may be able to talk them into doing more of these if you had issues or concerns about your seat and mirrors not adjusting to the correct positions for the key fob you're carrying, or that your phone drops it's BT connection to the car occasionally, or specifically if someone in your household has an iPhone it gets very warm when on the car charging pad but doesn't seem to charge very well. Things like that may help with getting more of these updates covered.

And that OBCC update that was showing has dropped off now. That happens sometimes after updating the OBCC. It might take a little while to drop off the list even though it was done.

My recall notices didn't drop off FP and the NHTSA websites for two weeks after I had the work done. I wouldn't worry about that.

Thanks for stepping up. I had issues with my FDRS laptop battery swelling up and popping the case. So I had to wait for a replacement battery.

You can read back a bit to get an idea of what you may need to tell your service advisor to get these applied as warranty labor updates.
I bit the bullet and did the updates using FRDS at home. Was pretty easy. I only have a 15 A power supply so was a bit nervous about that, but FRDS reported a steady 13.4V when car was on and 12.7V when off. The updates didn't take that long with the RFA module taking the longest at about 22 min. Interesting though, when I when to did the updates today only 4 were listed instead of the 6 oringally shown above.

Maybe the other 2 came via a recent OTA update, but the only one I seem to have applied since i got the car was a blue cruise maps update...at least according to ford pass.

Understood. Some of the longer updates that you might see will test the limits of your powersupply. The short ones don't. If you ever see one that says it's going to take like 3 hours (IPC, IPMA done over CAN) then I would get a better powersupply before attempting. But I'm glad it worked out for you!

Now you kinda know the drill. ?
