Will do. I don't use the Frunk either, but because it's such a PIA to open. I think if it was easier, I'd use it more.

How useful is that when you are already inside the vehicle. Press the vehicle icon, then Access, then open the frunk, when you can just reach down and pull the mechanical lever twice (i.e two vs. three).

What is useful is when you are approaching the car and can click something on the fob or FordPass to open it.

Otherwise you have to open the driver door, start the vehicle, wait until you can access the ....

Get my point?

In the car it’s less useful, though you’re forgetting a step in the lever procedure, you have to open the door first. So three vs three.

The big benefit is when you’re outside the car and you can pop the frunk with the app or door code.

Just because it’s not convenient for you doesn’t mean it’s not convenient for someone else

I hope that Ford gives us the option to have 4 macro buttons on the top of the display. I removed my Alexa one, but I REALLY want fixed soft buttons that are ALWAYS there on the top of the screen. There should be room for at least 4 good size buttons on the top. I would choose:

Frunk open (would be locked out when not in park)
Camera (would be locked out over 5MPH)
(the center one that is already there)
Car Play
Trunk open/close (would be locked out when not in park)

I see no reason that the space could not be put to use. I really want all of those buttons to be directly accessible in one click.

I thought all GTs came from the factory with a frunk release? That there was no such thing as a “job 1 GT”?
The frunk button on my 2021 GT is not available. I updated all modules via FDRS Saturday. Maybe I need to update APIM? TSB 22-2150 or 22B08-S1? I only have sketch and can not schedule OTA. Stumped.

Is it grayed out or nonexistent?

Then I don’t think a software update will fix it. Does it work from the keypad? Do you have any DTCs?
I have not tried the keypad. There were no DTC's after I got everything completed on Saturday. All modules were green. The only OTA I have ever gotten is the BC map. I only have sketch. Ford OTA department said they thought 1.7.1 was stuck and recommended 22-2150. I thought maybe 22B08 since it seems there may be a problem with APIM? I think I will get another 2 day license this weekend. Just not sure what to try and not make things worse.

None of these software updates should matter since GTs came from the factory with a functional frunk button.

Mine has never worked. Sounds like a trip to the dealer.
