I think he was fondly recalling the character...I was referring to the costume, not the character.
Haha. I’m an obnoxious idiot now. I like the sound of free-flowing exhaust, and it helps make more power. I don’t race around in my neighborhood scaring little kids and old curmudgeonly people though.Good lord. I can’t stand the obnoxious idiots thinking they’re so cool with their loud ICE cars now, let alone having to hear this new fake crap. Why do people think loud is cool and appropriate? Narcissism at its best. So no, I would never use it. ?
Sorry Brian, I could have been more respectful with my statement, but just hearing that car in your video proves my point. I have a very low tolerance for unnecessarily loud cars, just for the sake of …loud. I just don’t see how it’s cool or desirable. But good for you and your sick loud exhaust! ?Haha. That said, the Dodge fake exhaust sounds like trash.
Yes, I believe Snoop Dogg made reference to it in a song he did with Katy PerryThere was a costume?
I have the same question for fake performance parts/badging. Why bother? What does it do for you? Look fast/sound fast is not the same as IS fast. But hey, enlighten me. Serious question: What is it about driving around in a car like that, being loud in public, do for you? I’ve always wondered what the feeling is?
People care about different things.I have the same question for fake performance parts/badging. Why bother? What does it do for you? Look fast/sound fast is not the same as IS fast.
Personal preference I suppose. This is a “Mustang” site, after all, remember that. Many of us have owned/raced very loud Mustangs of all generations, and now, have a Mach E. I don’t put aftermarket exhausts on for their loudness, I do it for power/efficiency, most happen to be louder than factory for sure though. I always run catalytic converters and I hate the sound of the “muffler delete” cars because there’s a difference between a loud exhaust that sounds good/tuned and one that’s just max Db all the time. I absolutely don’t do it to prove anything to anyone. My car only gets truly loud when I get on it.Sorry Brian, I could have been more respectful with my statement, but just hearing that car in your video proves my point. Yep, perhaps a poser V6 with muffler deletes. Raspy and awful.A house nearby has a Charger (I believe) that when he starts it up we can hear it houses away. But it's not a nice V8 rumble, it is what I call "a fart can". Sounds horrible. And then as he drives away, I can't help myself but laugh.
What are fake performance parts? Haha. You mean things like I those little contraptions the import tuner crowd clamps to their tailpipe in an effort to simulate turbo whistling when they aren’t actually turbocharged? ???I have the same question for fake performance parts/badging.
