It could even be that the board may suffer a crack from bouncing. These MME's are not the best for ride. More than likely though, I'd be looking at the connector and contacts. The communication is all done below 5 volts, so it doesn't take much.
How could this explain folks getting it fixed sometimes multiple times, only to have it reappear literally hours after? Seems more complicated than just a broken part. And, why suddenly have it happen to so many cars just about the same time BC software was sent out?

Obviously, it seems that packets are getting corrupted between the camera and the ACC module. I don't know how many bit system Ford uses, but each bit is timed and is an on/off. So, the path it has to travel in a car may not be optimal with the necessary build and service connections and possible electromagnetic interference for clean data transfer. So, if code gets corrupted, Problems occur. And, they can be hard to find. Intermittent problems are often a guessing game vs. a hard open or short. This is not something I would wish on any engineer. Even ones I dislike.

Update: I emailed ford customer service execs a few weeks ago. Got a call today from the executive office and they said they’ll look into it and try to figure out a solution.
Can you share contact details? Perhaps the more that complain the more attention we can get on this

Just got back home from picking the car back up. It's very late in the evening, so I didn't have a chance to detour to a BC-enabled highway. I have a short day-trip coming up soon where I should be able to exercise BC so I'll keep this thread up to date if it seems solved or it comes back. For those following along, here is the invoice. Note the programming issues mentioned by other folks and some reset issues.

Here are relevant snippets of the invoice. Note this time, this dealer did reference and go through TSB 22-2295. They replaced the IPMA, then had some programming issues to overcome with the new module (I believe that's been reported elsewhere in the forum as well), and finally re-aligned the camera.
Just wanted to update after this second "fix". The morning after getting the car back, the Front Camera Fault re-appeared and stuck the entire way to our weekend destination approximately 1 1/2 hours of driving. The next day, the fault cleared and stayed off for the entire trip back. Since then, the fault has appeared again temporarily. It appears as though the two "fixes" from my trips to the dealer service has restored the problem from being always-fault, back to temporary fault like how the problem initially started back in, June.

Reporting back since my early August trip to dealer for this, a yet-unresolved door fault, and windshield replacement (‘21 Job 1 Select RWD). My intermittent fault started April 2022, and by Memorial Day on a 3-hour road trip it was throwing constant errors (which was super annoying), then crapped out altogether. Since my August dealership visit, the warning popped back on twice but went away quickly - 75 degrees on a non bumpy road re-paved last month. I don’t have BC because because the dealer update failed and I guess they never test drove my car to confirm. Like others, I’m expecting the faults to occur more often as time goes by until it craps out again, but we’ll see what winter brings.

Yep. After 1st fix with new module, faults started back up intermittently. None going to work in morning but returning home in afternoon, every 1-2 min! Maybe temperature related? Funny, mine started in June/July too. I think an update screwed it all up. Hopefully it'll be fixed by Friday by Ken Grody techs! If not, they put me into a Raptor Lightning!

UPDATE: Does everyone getting the PCA/FC fault/errors have BC equipment installed standard (or part of Comfort/Tech Pkg)? I ask because the tech found my driver's eye-tracking camera board/module possibly faulty. He thinks this may be responsible for throwing faults into my MME's APIM leading to successive failures of other systems utilizing the programming. Will be changed out today and programmed.

I also have a bad front, center speaker to top it off, ha! The navigation lady sounded like the tinman!

My 2021 Select AWD (delivered Jan 2022) does not have BC, and I’ve been getting Front Camera Fault errors since April 2022. After several software rebuilds and module updates the problem hasn’t gone away. I’m taking her in on Monday for FCF repair #4 - the last repair lasted two days. I will say looping Ford corporate into the process has made things go much smoother with my local dealer (they have been great).

Do you have the BC Prep Pkg with the driver-facing camera box on top of steering wheel? I believe it was optional on Selects.

So just to add my piece--Ford has no solution. My car is still at the dealership, which has been great, but it's been for a couple weeks on its third visit for the issue. It's delayed because engineering had to come out, and ultimately admit they're stumped. End result? Installing a data logger now so that engineering can track and log all the circumstances of the issue so they can develop a solution that will actually stick. I'm basically beta-testing. I should be getting paid. But, maybe this "testing" period will result in something positive for all of us.

I have a RWD, Select -- the "basee-ist" of base models (I literally have no options, including BC).

But at least I've got a sweet Lightning to drive around in the meantime (by the way, I've driven this truck for a total of a month now over the last X number of dealer visits and have had ZERO problems with it--can't say enough good things about it).

Unfortunately, I practically stole this car with all the tax credits and state incentives, so I really don't want to go lemon law or shopping for a new one in this overpriced market. So I really hope this little "experiment" I'm going to run for Ford works out.

Yes, BC was optional for 2021-22 Select trim MachE’s, and my car does not have the BC Prep pkg. My Select has the now-extinct Comfort/Appearance package.

The biggest concern is the new "fault" that's happening... I had to turn off 1PD with BC to not kill myself...

I should probably do the same if this 2nd and 'final' fix doesn't work. I love the BC but the last time it unexpectedly kicked off, I was doing 65-ish in #2 lane and vehicle decelerated. This actually is a significant safety defect of the system in 1PD. (One time the car swerved.) Ford needs to throw every available engineer on this straightaway. By the way, I totally LOVE my GT and wish it was 100% functional again!
