Anyone hazard a guess what the GT's 1/4 time would be without the 5 second limit?

/nicely done video, all around.
I have seen estimates in the high 11s thrown around in other threads

Moral of the story:

Buy a M240i to beat all those cars at the drag in the weekend and with the leftover, buy yourself a Kona as a daily EV and you will have the best of both worlds!

The worst part is if the 5 second limit is not there it smokes them all.

Lots of maybes in there. The rwd single motor Lyriq, which is the Blazer platform mate runs 14.1-14.2 1/4 miles at 99-101mph with only 340hp to move itā€™s 5600 lbs. I suspect the 500hp awd Lyriq and 557hp Blazer SS will be just fine where trap speeds are concerned, say 110-113mph est. The rwd only Lyriq also tops out at 118mph.

Also, the Hummer EV like the ICE Ram TRX are limited to 106mph due to all-terrain tires. This will not be a factor at all for the Blazer SS. Plus, I just think the GM Ultium platform is better, to be frank.
Probably not too far off. But Iā€™m betting lower traps than that due to the extra weight and less torque. We shall seeā€¦ā€¦. But that 0.80 skidpad is still garbage.

All season touring tires equal lousy skidpad numbers. Iā€™ll guarantee the GM chassis engineers will get .90-.95 out of the SS with summer tires. And you know how good the GM chassis engineers are. Also, if it maintains at least 450-475hp of the 557 peak rating for the full 1/4 mile itā€™ll hit 110mph, trap speeds are HP, crazy launches are torque. We shall see.

Where are you getting those Lyriq 1/4 mile times from?

Guarantee you say?

We shall see. At least the Mach E got .85 G on crappy tires-

Even the Lincoln Aviator (handles like a boat) pulled .82 G and thatā€™s on crap tires with stability control kicking in.

.80 is a mountain to climb. I know GM can make good handlers. But it may just be too much weight to sling around.

Sure, but ultimate G isnā€™t the only thing makes a good handling vehicle. A .80G car can have more communicative steering and chassis responses than a .90G car. Tires will fix the ultimate G number.

As others have side, time will tell with the Blazer SS. However, seeing video reviews like this one from Doug Demorio on the ICE version of the Blazer gives me a lot of pause. Now in the Blazer's defense, Doug mostly knocked it for not being a bigger competitor to offroaders (like the Bronco) but he made it clear it was rather "bland" in about every category. Maybe the EV version will be totally different than the ICE version but if you look at pics, they look to be the same, which I think is the problem. The Mustang Mach E was designed from the ground up as an EV. Before I placed my order, I was looking hard at the BMW I4, but quickly realized the fact it was based on an ICE platform made it behind in several important categories. So unless the Blazer EV version has different underpinnings, I think the Mach E will beat it in many categories.... Then again, I could be wrong.

I love Doug's look of disgust in this pic (sorry I couldn't help posting this).

If on the other hand it really smokes it, I may not keep my MME for very long. I didn't want to wait 2 more years to find out.

True that skidpad isnā€™t everything (lightweight Miata for example).

But thinking thatā€™s gonna happen in a 5900 lb SUV is a pipe dream!
