Shayne all you have today is a GSM.

If you turn the lane keeping button off it will just act like a regular old school cruise control. Even BCHO needs lane keeping turned on to work. Do you even get the message that says BlueCruise is on and to watch the road? That comes on even with BCHO.
Thank you my friend much appreciated.

The message says something like lane keeping on.

Then sits there like this

Side green lines go red when you get near the lines and car vibrates (hate that). I use to get a blue pregnant butterfly animation when it engaged now it just sits like this and does not steer.

9 Dec '21 build date, Job 2 car.

ETIS says you are eligible to have the 22S41 recall performed. That would update the PCM, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMC on your car.

Here's the list of available updates:

Hi Mike,
Finally got the case open regarding the CSP 21P22 and my car has been with them since yesterday morning. They kept insisting to me and Ford Customer Service that they marked it down as done, so it means it was done. I kept arguing with them that just because it was charge and marked as down it doesn’t mean it was done. They agreed to follow with the remaining modules for that program, stated that it’ll take up to 72hours to update. Mind checking what they have done
It looks like they are in the middle of doing the last thing on the list, the gateway module. Like literally in the middle of it now. It's a USB update so it should be done in the next half hour.
Did the update fail or are they working on other updates? Haven’t received a call. May you please check if you have time.

So they stopped at around 2:15 this afternoon and you still have one APIM update showing as available. Not sure why they stopped. They may have run into a problem but it's not really clear from the log.

Yeah Ford called them asking why they haven’t gotten back to me and they told them that they were running into trouble with an update.

Hi all. I took my 22 MachE in because my iPhone XR was burning up on the charger after less than an hour on the road enough that it would shutdown from the heat and I recall there was a software update for heating issues (admittedly with Waze on; I figure maybe tracking with GPS probably consumes as much as it charges). The local ford shop is telling me that I don't need any updates for this however. Could someone check on that, and any other updates that might improve BC (it tends to ping pong back and forth in the curves): VIN 3FMTK3SU9NMA27190 . Thanks!

Here's what's showing as of now:

I hope you can impress on them the importance of updating that gateway (GWM) while your car is in the shop. It's the key to all the other modules working together correctly. As an example, if they try to update that BCM, but they don't update the GWM first, they may get a 'file security error' when trying to do the BCM. So fair warning.

The door modules showed up in the last two weeks I think. They were updated to prevent excessive wear by making it so that the 'door presenters' solenoids don't activate when a passenger uses the inside door handle. They will just activate when someone presses the outside door button from now on. Previously they were working with the inside mechanical door handle which isn't necessary for the doors to work.

Thanks again Mike.

Was informed by the agent booking in my dealer appointment that they simple won't update anything unless I present an issue, which they deem to be fixable by a specific update. (Unless it's a recall).

I've emailed the Ford rep that I've been speaking to, with this list of updates, asking what the likelihood is that he can just get me up to date.. I know that in the grand scheme of things, it's still likely a small minority that have the issues I see (all the time..) online, but I would feel a lot more comfortable knowing that I'm up to date on everything.

Concerns me that things like the OBCC which you previously said was several versions behind, may end up ruining the day when I eventually need to charge at a fast charger. Might well be fine, but I'd rather not wait until I experience an issue to get it fixed - I prefer the fix before fail approach..

Thanks for the help Mike! Probably too much power draw while charging then; I’ll try on USB and see if it does the same thing. I take it none of the other items are all that urgent (no missed csbs, etc)? Odd, I did report occasional issues getting the door to open, maybe didn’t match the update symptoms for the DCMs.
