Power-Up 3.5.3 installed but no video streaming apps nor YouTube

I don’t have a manage button for Alexa. It’s just what you see in the screenshot I posted. I didn’t get a QR code. Where did you get that? I don’t think mine is ready yet. I don’t have the Alexa menu on the touchscreen yet either.

After I was notified that 3.5.3 installed, Alexa appeared later that day or maybe the next day.

Yeah so far nothing for me. Had to do a restart earlier because CarPlay wouldn’t connect and nothing after that either.

This is my first time trying Alexa. (I'm a Google Assistant user.) So far it's pretty good. It finds businesses and ev charge stations faster and easier than SYNC, and of course the voice recognition is much better than SYNC.

The voice of Alexa is a bit too much like a female version of HAL 9000 though. Maybe it should have been named Athena?

I come to this forum to poop all over ford most of the time but have to admit one thing, its good to see we all are getting more OTA's. Might not be the update we want (we all know we want the youtube update now) but i just got one and I'm always happy to know that my car just got a little better.

I have the YouTube update, also... I've gotta say the Alexa update is going to be far more useful to me. After the three year trial, though? I'll probably not continue using it.

I got 3.5.3 installed today as well. and this is what my release notes say, implying that Alexa will be coming soon in another update, so looks like they may have changed it?

My release notes said the same thing and the connected services page had Alexa as activation pending. After 2 days the last bit of whatever made its way through and the icon popped up and I got a push notification from FordPass. Seems like there’s a server side part that needs to complete.

Yeah, they seem to have ironed a lot of it out and it's rollin like they wanted.

Just happened to me right now again. Profiles were already turned on. Toggling them off then on again did nothing to fix it.

I seem to have fixed this by unlinking my phone from my profile and then relinking it. I don't think it has anything to do with the phone itself per se, but maybe more the fact it has to rewrite my profile data. It's only been a couple of days since I did that, but so far, the bug hasn't come back.

It's a shame Alexa can't work with the in-car controls like climate, etc.

She can't? That's strange, cause the Ford Assistant could do that.

This seems to have worked for me as well. I unlinked my phone from my profile on Friday when I was doing the new TCU FDRS update because my CarPlay connecting has been trash since 3.5.3.3 so I wanted to remove my phone and re-pair it.

Since Friday, I haven't had the profile bug, but CarPlay connecting is still trash.
