For the past week (since getting 3.5.3.3) I've also been experiencing the intermittent "Guest profile" problem. Sometimes I can reselect my own profile, but sometimes not. Sometimes if I let the car sit for a while, it will find my profile when I start it again. No discernable rhyme or reason yet. . . (also have been getting the 12 volt warning quite often, but the car never stores a DTC . . . )

Thoughts are welcome.
Go to your profile in settings, click unlink phone or whatever from your profile. Then turn the car off, open and close door, let sit for 1 minute, then turn it on. Relink your phone under profile.

This has been solid for me and the issue has not come back. @mkhuffman give this a go, too!

2021 Job 2 here, got 3.5.3 today no mention of the climate controls but they did in fact change I have the AC button & I also noticed when heated seats are set to auto they will show which level they are on now which is nice. Overall menus feel a bit snappier & carplay connects quicker too. Got the new games as well. Echoing most others would LOVE to see from main menu if E-Heat is on & turn it off because even on 80+ degree days it will turn on (even WITH A/C) when not needed and drain battery, and I have no idea why.

The best thing about the update is full screen Android Auto
Pretty sure that came with 3.5.3, that's when it started working for me on my Job 1 Premium.

I just drove home from dinner at my father in-law's house. No check mark. But the car refused to select my profile, or any profile other than Guest. I guess that is the new feature. Not what I was hoping for. ?
reboot Sync and that fixes it.

This update made Guest the profile and I am not able to change back to any of the other two saved profiles I have…
I first encountered this yesterday (received 3.5.4 today). Others have suggested rebooting sync or adding a new profile.

My guess they are waiting for next big OTA inhibit update to include BCM and GFM and whatever else they can throw in there instead of doing a bunch in a row like the BlueCruise series.
Are we still expecting a "large" update before the end of this year that will change the UI? I think that is what was mentioned by Jim Farley earlier this year, wasn't it? Or are these 3.5+ updates the changes that Jim was referring to?

I actually likedthe climate controls the way they were. I don’t think they needed to put the AC button on the main screen, in the 11 years I have owned a car with auto climate control I have never touched the AC button. The new icon to bring up the climate screen looks out of place with the rest of the UI now too, it’s too bold compared to the rest of the cars iconography. I like that most of the cars climate was hidden in a second menu, I never touch anything but the temp and heated wheel, so why clutter the screen with more stuff.
You clearly need more climate control rage.?

There's gotta be more changes than just adding A/C button and Alexa/YouTube?

I tried that and it didn't work. The update was still in process and once I got the check mark and the car sat for a while, it went back to my profile without any issues.

Give it a few hours and maybe overnight. It will probably clear up like mine did.

I would hope so. The way it was described, it sounded like a complete UI overhaul with a lot of highly requested changes, but maybe that was a false assumption and wishful thinking?

I would like a heat button on the main screen because the car randomly turns it on, which significantly reduces efficiency. Many times I don't need E-Heat yet the car thinks I do and turns it on.

The only way I know that has happened is by opening the climate control screen. It would be so much more convenient if I could see the E-Heat status on the main display and turn it off when my car thinks it is smarter than me.
When you go to the climate controls and see “EHeat” on, it’s not necessarily on. It always shows it to be on, but I believe it’s actually just “enabled.” It comes on and off when it thinks it should. Don’t ever look at that screen and you’ll never hear a peep out of it. Set the temperature and enjoy the ride And ignore that big, distracting screen.

But what if one of the phones is connected using CarPlay (or Android Auto)? Will the second call connect? Can you dial out on the second phone? Is this only a feature for those that don't use CarPlay or AA?
My experience has been that if Car Play is active the other phone is disconnected, so no, only one at a time with Car Play active.
