Anyone gotten handsfree BlueCruise to work on their 2023 Mach-E yet?

Your shutter speed was much slower (i.e. longer) than the other poster. It's why your photos are also blurrier.

I understand the refresh rate thing but I’m not buying that. See the below. Lots of white, no red and notice that my picture is quite sharp. Taken on an iPhone 14 Pro Max default settings:

2023 Select AWD on BlueCruise free trial. It is garbage. For starters, RIP to those who wear sunglasses, you can see in the below pictures that there's infrared lights blasting you in the face and at least one camera watching for the reflection from your pupils. If you wear sunglasses, it cannot see pupils, it assumes you are asleep or on your phone or whatever.

While hands-free, I turned on the turn signal to get over and it never did. It never initiated a lane change.

I often wear sunglasses with bluecruise and it works just fine.

Also, make sure that Lane Change Assist is turned on in the settings.

The IPC has a different refresh rate than the main screen and I’m not sure what camera OP is using, but this is the reason, also the camera is getting directly blasted by the IR emitters, so that doesn’t help either especially if it’s a faster shutter speed than the IPC refresh rate which I think is higher than 60hz

AFAIK, a white pixel on an LED display is composed of red, green, and blue LEDs all being on within the same time frame. But they're not necessarily all on at precisely the same instant. It happens so quickly that your human brain merges them together to perceive white.

I didn’t have time to adjust the camera settings (iPhone 13 Pro) and only took 1.

My 2022 was delivered on December 6th with already expired maps, despite the dealer saying they were required to deliver the car with all available updates. Same dealer can't get me in until March to update them, but we have a short road trip in February that we'd like them working for. So I picked another dealer who was able to get me in end of January. Hopefully it's just the GWM fix ... gave them the TSB number just in case. But now I'm wondering what else the dealer may have shirked in prepping the car ... although in fairness, I rushed them and didn't even allow them to charge it to 100% so I could get the car sooner.

I've driven, literally, thousands of miles in hands-free with sunglasses on and it never squawks about them. I have prescription, polarized sunglasses - no issue whatsoever. Looking at the center screen for more than a second or two will produce a warning.

Only glitch I've noticed is that infrequently (maybe twice a month) it seems to have trouble auto-adjusting to speed limit sign changes. I have not been able to characterize why this happens, but it always seems to clear up without me doing anything specific.

Experiencing the same issue with my '23 Select. I chatted with Ford and they referred me to their OTA unit, where I learned the following.

My November-built car was delivered with expired maps (expired December 10, 2022). The only way to get BlueCruise to work is to get new maps. They say I need to wait for OTA updates but didn't specify when those will be available. (Currently, no OTA updates are available for my car.)

To get OTA updates, vehicle must be connected to external wifi, e-brake set, charged at 80% or higher, and the vehicle must have been driven 30 minutes prior to scheduled update (so drive the car at 11:31 pm if the update is scheduled for midnight).

Alternately, I could bring the car into a dealer for updated BlueCruise maps. There's a customer satisfaction bulletin, TSB 22 2105.

Here we go - IPC, with BlueCruise active speed and speed sign are pretty white and the display is pretty bright blue daylight conditions as you can see again, iPhone 14 Pro Max with whatever the default settings are (I am a horrible photographer so the only setting I change is 4:3 to 16:9)

Really hard to compare between cameras and different photos because of auto settings, but different frame rates is the reason when it happens
