So I just called Ford and have;
1) In Argentine, KS
2) past ETA, pending an update in the system
3) got me a railcar number, does that mean I can use the CSX phone tracking mention in this and other threads to get an exact location?

Did they say which railroad it is on? Mine is on BNSF, they also think it's in Argentine, KS Ramp 6M since over a week ago.

I used this post to track my railcar using the CSX system. It's not guaranteed that CSX will have the right info, but try it out

Just tried... it's a BNSF, too ... said it was released to customer in Gibson, Indiana - in OCTOBER!

1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

Ford Chat/Customer Support does not get intermediate updates between Kansas and the destination. BNSF does not have a working method to track AFAIK.

Dealer VINview updates are going to be your most reliable source at this point.

For my railcar, I have been able to actually track through CSX tracking, and it aligns with what Vinview was showing to the dealer.

Evidently the phone systems couldn't handle me saying the letters in my British accent, or in any other accent I tried to mimic! ?

Hahaha, I know the pain. My car initials are TTGX... so I get a variance of "TPEX" "PTEX" "PPEX"......

Gotcha. Quite a few of us at Walnut Creek experienced something different than a week and a half from KC to Richmond. Then a week or more just from Richmond to the dealership. Here's hoping it's getting better and you're the beneficiary of that.

Just putting out my data point. My car was assigned a railcar in KC on Fri Dec 30. It arrived in Richmond at 12:44am Mon Jan 9. So total trip time of a little over a week (if you account for the fact that New Years Eve was in between).

Now who knows how long it will be until it makes it out of Richmond to the dealer.

On a completely random note, I managed to catch a video of the actual train between Barstow and Bakersfield. It's over a mile long with 99% of railcars being the ones used to transport cars.

Order page finally updated. Well..... sh*t...
A one month bump - for now. Guess that means stop refreshing.
Can't wait to hear what the dealer says on his Friday update (last week was still "it's set for Jan 10th).

Also got the bump a few days ago that now projected ETA is Feb 6-12. Was January 5-11. Been in KC. ramp 6P since December 19th according to FC. anyone else in this situation?

Got the official update that my 12/31-1/6 delivery date has been pushed to between February 11, 2023 and February 17, 2023 "Due to unanticipated shipping delays".

Too bad I can't just drive to the rail yard in Kansas and pick it up. It's only a few hours from here ?

I got the official delay e-mail as well. At the same time FC just confirmed the car arrived in Richmond and is ready for unloading. So who here wants to help me unload it? I can return the favor and drive to KC and help you unload yours .

I talked to the dealer yesterday, and he said they could potentially mark the car as "hot" to hopefully prioritize the unloading of it. Anyone heard something like that?

I have not heard that term, but my sales guy said they could mark the car as “sold” to try expedite it. I don’t so much care because I don’t plan to use Sirius, but I then got an email saying my SXM trial had been activated (and that it was linked to my existing SXM account) and also started getting emails asking me to take a survey abut my sales service. A good friend of mine works at the dealership so I trust they’re not up to something nefarious (and I’ve not paid for the car or anything so I suppose worst case scenario is they sell it out from under me).

All this to say, I dunno what’s going on, hah! Except that my sales guy said VINView still shows the car’s GPS in KC so I’m pretty sure it’s still there, and everyone at the dealership keeps saying it’s my car and they’re just trying to get it to me as quickly as they can.
