Soo..... here is my question....

I checked out my order online and the pricing has not been updated to this.

However, does none of this matter to folks who already getting the "private offer" since Ford will just modify the private offer so that you are still basically getting 2022 MSRP?
No, both price change and transitional PCO will be stacked.

Others here confirmed.

Same situation here - new lower pricing has not updated for my window sticker yet.

Would not worry as the dealer will be re-invoiced at the lower price.

When you pick up, your lower price plus PCO will be stacked.

When was your build ?

I'm jealous!

Would rather have mine in 2022 and not get a price adjustment - just to be guaranteed the tax credit without MSRP or income caps.

Instead I am stressing mine won't make it by March when the IRS rules on the battery credit.

It was supposedly scheduled for build on the week of December 19, 2022. Ford says it was suppose to ship between Jan 15 and 21, but they are trying to get a new shipping date. They did confirm that the vehicle has been built and gave me the VIN number (which disappeared from their website).

Uh oh, yours might be with mine!

My build week was 12/5.

ETA pushed back 4 times.

Ford Chat says it is in KC, MO but my dealer says it is still in Mexico.

Why 6 weeks after build it keeps getting delayed..

Correct, You are making the same point now I was making. They price the vehicles with tax in mind. Its a selling/marketing point. The payment is the bottom line for most buyers. You tell them they are getting 7500 back is motivating.
You seemed to be implying that the dealers were doing ADM that was equal to the amount of the tax credit, and then claiming the tax credit offset the increase in price. Not that Ford was monkeying with the price going up and down constantly. They didn't. They were consistent in raising the price of the car every year while the Federal Tax credit remained the same. They dropped the price recently to offset some of the loss of the tax credit due to the classification issue. Now with the IRS reclassifying all Mach-Es, regardless of trim level, as an SUV, and thus qualifying for the $80K MSRP limit, it will be interesting to see if Ford rescinds the price cuts, or leaves them intact until the battery mineral guidance gets released in March.

Good to hear the D&D stays the same!

Did your dealer print out a new window sticker reflecting the lower price ?
I heard back from my dealer. There is an updated sticker that now reflects the new lower MSRP. He printed it out and sent me a photo of it so your dealership should be able to do the same.

Now that the tax credit is also in play with the IRS change, this is one heck of a deal with lower msrp, $8500 PCO, and the $7500 tax credit. Hope others are able to get the same, as you should.

Good luck everyone

I just drove off the lot with a new 23 premium AWD extended. Sticker was online at the dealership website. Original sticker was handed to me as a keepsake.
Guess dealership employees “bought” cars year end and returned them. Jumped on one I was going to pre-order. They didn’t know about the price drop when I called Monday, had to wait until Ford officially updated the sticker MSRP before they gave me the $5,200 discount.

I am hoping that ford considers those who got their cars right before Jan. Seems like ford should extend that credit back further. Got my 22 GTPE in December.

That would cost them millions, there was hardly any deliveries in January compared to the end months of 2022. They already got the positive PR from it there is almost a 0% chance

I’m seeing a nudge to upgrade from the 4X to the GT since the price differential now is almost negligible; $61k vs $64k.

If neither are eligible for the $7500, might as well go big.

I went back and looked at my 2021 GT order sheet and see that my Rapid Red GT with panoroof and BlueCruise was $63,500.
Now that we have the price reduction and a tax credit, it really makes me rethink that decision on passing on a
dealer offering a GT at MSRP after I picked up my RWD RT1 last year.

Would it be crazy to make an upgrade to a 2023 GT or Premium AWD? The primary concern I have is how much I would get for my current CA RT1 with 4,000 miles.

Resale values have tanked a lot since 2022.

My Lightning I am selling to make room for the MME is going for $6000 less than it was in December.

Based on MMR pricing, the wholesale dealers are not paying nearly what they used to.

Listed mine for private party sale instead....

so is anyone in my boat. I bought my Mach-E Saturday then Monday they announced the price drop. Talk about ticked off. I know they said they were gonna retro it back to jan 1st but does anyone know how that will go? I all ready tried calling ford motor credit and customer care and some other department they sent me too and al three just kept saying it wasn't their department and transferred me to someone lese that also said it wasn't their department. Dealer of course i went and asked them and they swore up and down they had no idea the prices were dropping because I was like why wouldn't you say anything about the price drop if i just waited one day?
Bought mine day before. I’ve heard Ford is trying to change/fix window stickers of cars on lots first and then will move to contacting those of us who bought back to Jan 1. My dealer had 15 MME’s on the lot, most cancelled orders, they also said not my department. FoMoCo cut prices they will issue the rebate. Lots of back and forth with tax credit on/off, lowering price and now the battery classification looming. Not holding my breath or spending my ~$3700 until it hits my account.

tbh, if you’ve already got an MME but interested in upgrading it, you might want to hold off until the mid-cycle refresh is revealed. Speculation is that it’ll be for the 2024 model year so we’d know more this fall. Something to think about at least.

Thank you for this information.
I thought the next refresh was the next gen in 2026! I’m definitely able to hold on until a mid-cycle refresh drops.

Does this mean we could see the new model availability for ordering as soon as early Fall 2023?

A mid-cycle refresh makes a lot of sense given the interest Ford has in deploying LFP battery architecture in the MME and last month’s factory downtime to retool Cuautitlán in January.
