Hope there's no annoying "battery saver" feature that turns accessory mode (i.e. the radio) off after just a couple of minutes. I love our Escapes, but that's one feature that drives me up the wall.

Although in a BEV, I guess it's no big deal just to turn full power on. In the Escape you have to start the engine and let it run to reset the battery saver death timer, which is a waste of fuel (and just plain annoying).

You'll get used to this. Sitting around with your BEV on is fine -- no engine running or exhaust created. It doesn't even burn many more electrons.

They asked me to go, but I'm just going to wait for "my car" to go out there. I've seen so much about the car here that I think I'll just get even more frustrated if I see a car that I can't buy anytime soon. I know that must seem weird.

That is not true. The BLIS works even when the signal is not activated. It flashes if signal is activated.

Oh yeah thats right. Don't drive our one Escape with it that often so I forget.

The puddle lights only work when the mirrors are folded? I would think that would be the other way around.

The puddle lamps turn on when you

That is weird. If I recall, when I went to see the MME at the Ford in Long Island, the puddle lights were on while the side view mirror was unfold. Maybe I am wrong but I don't recall testing it against the door.

I tried to figure out a way to turn it off but no luck. I remember searching the internet 6-7 years ago, and there were hoards of people complaining about it.

I would really like to have at least one of the electrical outlets (12v, USB or both) on when the car is turned off. I've had this in the past and it is useful for running battery chargers (AA, D, rechargeable packs), etc.

anyone else with OCD tripping out that the table of contents is not in alphabetical order?

Like an index? Workaround; Ford app has a search function index in the contents menu and the PDF contents is hyperlinked with the index on page 415 (index not hyperlinked and need to type in page number in acrobat; my OCD).

Not to rub salt in the wound of our Hawaiian friend, but there might be videos online from other owners regarding the removal of the divider long before Kamuelaflyer gets notification his MME is on the way to the islands. For Kamuelaflyer's sake, I hope I am wrong.

Yeah, it sounds like L and 1-petal driving are fundamentally the same.

Not quite. L will apply strong regen, but I don't believe it will apply the friction brake. 1-pedal drive will apply both to bring you to a complete stop.

My Chrysler has the beep option in settings, maybe Ford could add this later as a OTA update. I've found it helpful (it's off by default.)

Instead of a beep, we could get a "Whoa there!"

Yeah while I agree - my current mazda does both (beep and blinking lights) and i find that additional beep to be additional assurance especially in two lane turns. Again i know that lot of mfrs dont add the beep - BMW for example. So I am sure I can live without the beeps. Drove for years without any of this right. But philosophically I dont understand why the audio beep is not available - I get that they are trying to not make the driver depend on the beeps.

Plan to enjoy the Mach E anyway.
