I set up the guest profile to mimic my main profile after what you described almost happened to me. I set up 1PD, same radio stations but I picked a different color interior light highlight so I know at night when it switched to guest profile.
I have a different lighting color for guest mode too. I've actually watched the lights change color from guest to my profile after opening a door. I wonder if something sometimes is happening in the background, and if the car is started before it completes, it locks in guest profile. I don't recall it ever happening when going to or from work, when I open either another door or the hatch to put in my bag before opening the driver's door. I know it happened when running errands when I just got in and drove off. I'll try to pay closer attention if/when it happens again.

Do you use PaaK and a fob? I notice when I only use PaaK, the profile change doesn't happen. But when I carry a fob with me, it happens almost every time. Well at least until this week. I suspect the car is getting confused between the fob and my phone, but that is only a guess.

Definitely not as cold down here, but we have had freezing temps recently and I have a scheduled set for preconditioning at 7 AM a few days a week. I came out to the car just before 7 and it was running like expected.

I set the preconditioning times using FordPass and it seems to have taken. I will do some more testing this week to see if 4.2.x screwed it up. I just got those OTAs within the last week.
I had one schedule that took due to setting it in car so was not messing with it. You gave us hope so we tried again. Set it in fordpass and it displayed in fordpass. Went to the car 24+ hours later and it was still the old schedule. The one displayed in fordpass never made it to the car. Funny when I went into sync and then departure schedule the one shown in fordpass disappeared and was blank even thou the old schedule was still active in sync. Set it in the car to the one I set in fordpass originally and it saved to the car. Fordpass displays it again. Glad yours is working but it is still not here. Been that way since needing it again in November and have recieved 3.6.1 since. maybe 4.2.x broke yours but not mine.

I almost exclusively use PaaK. But I had a dealer visit two weeks ago for my 20k, which meant I had a fob with me. I think that was one time where the glitch happened, but I’m not positive. My wife uses a fob, and we’ve been trading vehicles a bit more than normal, so maybe switching between the two is problematic? That would line up with me programming a new fob initiating the issue, since I used the new fob a few times after I got it to test out the frunk button.

My car randomly starts and stops charging over and over again on L2 chargers. As soon as it crosses 24 amps it stops and restarts. The closer it is to full the worse it is, for example if I try to charge it at 83% it happens more often than if I charge it at 43%. If it’s cold it seems to make it worse also. Sometimes it just goes away on its own. I’ve been told to bring it in but I both haven’t had the time to do so and my dealer hasn’t exactly given me confidence in the availability of a loaner to use right now while they try to sort this out. I’m at 9k miles so when I bring it in for the 10k I will try to get this resolved. You can see a picture below of the charger behavior if you're interested. The car always chargers eventually. Also, if I drop my charger to 16 amps I can charge no problem.

As to your issue, I have had that happen as well at an EA location and from what I gathered from people at the charger it is usually the EA charger and not the car. The guy next to me said to call EA and ask them to reset the charger and sure enough, that worked instantly and I was able to charge.
Wow that’s crazy. Hope it gets resolved soon.

I’ve done the EA reset before. This one I didn’t do cause the car before and after me charged just fine. Could have been a plug and charge communication issue. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks!

Well the discussion was started because I posted that it appears the profile issue is fixed in my car. But not everyone has the same profile issue, apparently.

At least this thread has not devolved into politics. That's when things really go off the rails.

Correct. I am poken around to find out if remotely preconditioning your car is working on these. So far it is a hard maybe but possibility not in Hawaii . If Mike gets offended I will back off ;). I would say the 4.2.2 or a thread of what you are currently on would be good reading also.

I get glitches when it is switching back to my profile (iOS) after my wife (Samsung) uses the car. It is so seldom she uses the car it is not a big deal. When I start it it is my profile always and never see guest. That has never been a problem for me but has been for some ?‍♂. Not all IC's are created equal.

Aren't these updates just re-releases of the 4.1's? I wonder what their thought process was. "Maybe if we push the same stuff again, it might work??"

In car is hit and miss. If you have a consistent departure you may be able to get it to stick. Worked for me in the car last time never by phone this winter but last winter all the time. Fordpass departure schedule disappearing (on vehicle page not in settings) when you access sync is just fordpass being embarrassed and does not know what to say ;) This winter is over but have hope for next ?‍♂

If they would just put out a known bug list it would be a big help. Still no TSB for it to date was talking to dealer about a piece of trim and door fault service required. So far behind in updates it appears but really only looking for departure fix and get rid of an 80% wall on 50KW chargers. Then the gear selector rotates I am all set.

I was having the same problem with the Departure Times and Preconditioning. What I did to fix, was left my phone with PAAK in my office, away from the car. Removed my key Fob from the faraday bag, and used that to enter the vehicle. I cleared all previous departure schedules in the vehicle, and entered and saved new schedules. I went back to the office, verified the schedules in PAAK, and this morning the MME was good to go. Good luck!

Removed my key Fob from the faraday bag, and used that to enter the vehicle. I cleared all previous departure schedules in the vehicle, and entered and saved new schedules. I went back to the office, verified the schedules in PAAK, and this morning the MME was good to go. Good luck!
I'll give it a try and see what happens.

The bug is actually quite odd. I set the departure time in the car for 9:45 am yesterday. Verfied it saved. The car started charging at 4 am (which I really did not want it to do, the set time for charging is noon to 4 pm, but that's another story). It finished its charging at about 6:30 am which is plenty of time to precondition given the OAT of the mid to high 40s. The car then preceded to delete the departure time and not precondition.

Since the car I still in advanced analytics I left a couple of voice memos for the engineers. ?‍♂

That has work some of the time for me and should work some of the time no matter where you have your phone or if you use it or the fob to access sync. You set it up that way because it does not work from the comfort of your office through the phone?
I'll give it a try and see what happens.

This car is just too bizarre right. You do the exact same thing setting it up for tomorrow and it will work. Roll the dice as it is as random as heck.
