Not sure if I got a recent update or not but this last week I started getting a bunch of bugs. The sync screen constantly freezes when loading. The car forgot to charge yesterday. The departure time changes fail to update.

We received the 4.2.1 update on Friday 3/17, the Mrs. was driving that day, all day, and when she got in the car she noticed it was in Unbridled mode, when she usually runs Whisper. I checked and flipped back to Whisper, however, no amount of pushing her profile button or the #2 button on the door would put her on her profile.

Stopped, car in power mode vs On mode, nothing. She could press my profile (#1) and mine would set, but hers was a no go and only guest..

Sunday 3/19 in the evening, it finally 'sync'd' and let her profile set.

/didn't think to see if the time went back to 12 hr as it usually does on an update...

I started getting the guest profile bug a couple of weeks ago. I had gotten no recent software updates, but I did program a 3rd fob around then. That seems unlikely to be the cause, but that’s all i remember being different. Pressing the door button would do a seat position recall, but would still leave me in guest profile. It happened maybe 5 times in 2 weeks, but hasn’t shown up for over a week now.
These cars are consistently inconsistent.

The oopse guest profile is not just annoying its an accident waiting to happen when someone like me drives 1P all the time and when the thing takes off on 'normal coast' non 1P, someone is going to crash and its on Ford
I set up the guest profile to mimic my main profile after what you described almost happened to me. I set up 1PD, same radio stations but I picked a different color interior light highlight so I know at night when it switched to guest profile.

Last year, when I had the profile issue, I could switch to my profile by simply pressing the button on the door that was assigned to my profile. That doesn’t work for you?
Nope, all that does is change my seat position, doesn't actually change the profile. It stays hardlocked on Guest until you reboot the screen. Even turning the full car completely off and on again doesn't fix it.

I’ve very occasionally had this issue since launch and your suggestion has always worked.
So weird how some fixes work for some but not others. I've seen that suggestion here before and tried it multiple times and it has never worked for my car.

What was your charging issue and was it is resolved? I ask cause my last 2 DCFC events had a charge fault with the first 2 units/tries and then the third worked. This was at a Tesla and then an EA location, and the charging spots worked for other cars. It felt consistent enough to think that this could be a my car problem then a DCFC problem. Sorry a bit of a sidebar to this this thread....
My car randomly starts and stops charging over and over again on L2 chargers. As soon as it crosses 24 amps it stops and restarts. The closer it is to full the worse it is, for example if I try to charge it at 83% it happens more often than if I charge it at 43%. If it’s cold it seems to make it worse also. Sometimes it just goes away on its own. I’ve been told to bring it in but I both haven’t had the time to do so and my dealer hasn’t exactly given me confidence in the availability of a loaner to use right now while they try to sort this out. I’m at 9k miles so when I bring it in for the 10k I will try to get this resolved. You can see a picture below of the charger behavior if you're interested. The car always chargers eventually. Also, if I drop my charger to 16 amps I can charge no problem.

As to your issue, I have had that happen as well at an EA location and from what I gathered from people at the charger it is usually the EA charger and not the car. The guy next to me said to call EA and ask them to reset the charger and sure enough, that worked instantly and I was able to charge.

It’s been so long since I’ve experienced the issue that I probably should have realized that my workaround is no longer valid and not even mentioned it.

You may have had a different bug. The bug I have been experiencing with the profile changing does get corrected if I press the seat button. It has become a habit - as soon as I see the seat moving I press the 1 seat button and my profile is selected.

Ever since 4.2.2 was applied I have not experienced the profile change bug. Still holding my breath.
