I believe the issue with speed limit signs people have been having is due to the MME using outdated Garmin maps. They likely have GPS marked speed limits that are also outdated but I believe the MME also used speed limit sign recognition. So I think it's a disconnect between the outdated maps and the speed limit recognition not seeing any signs so it reverts to GPS data. I really wish some automaker would just use Google Maps and be done with all these crappy nav services.
I know for a fact the maps are quite outdated as the MME nav regularly tells me to turn onto streets that dont exist anymore/have been turned to one-way/no turn streets or skips turns down newer streets that would be faster.
I've contacted Ford many times over the outdated maps and every person I talk to tries to throw me off to the next person and 0 progress has been made. Ford CS is SO uninformed about anything MME related its stupid
