Things 4.2.x appears to have fixed...

My departure times stopped working after my dealer updated to 4.2.x in January. That’s when I got the new interface.
last week, I got 4.2.2 OTA and it’s working again.

I can also confirm that CarPlay now reconnects after walking away and returning. Not sure which update fixed that.

I haven’t had a single profile issue since I received 3.x.x OTAs in November.

I am wondering if the drive mode issue has been corrected? I never received 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 - skipped right to 4.2.1 and 4.2.2, and I have yet to see the drive mode switch on my car.

Also, my guest profile issue might be resolved. It occurs almost every time I get in the car, but since 4.2.2, not once. But it is still too early to be sure about that.

I’m not trying to rub it in…..I figured offering my experience would be helpful.

My car isn’t perfect by any means. I still get occasional seemingly random messages and I’ve all but given up on the GOM. DCFC seems slower than it should be lately, but it’s impossible for me to tell if it’s the car or charger.

3.6.2 has an SOBDMC update? I am on 3.6.1 now and it was broke for me back in the fall (November).

No idea @Shayne. Predeparture has been broken for so long they I no longer recall just when it stopped working. All I know is it stopped after one of the 3 undated at this point.

Unless skipping the 4.1s makes a difference, I think not. My car got them all (4.2.2 on 3/10) and the "DM not available" bug hit me yesterday.

I haven’t tried it either. Probably will do so shortly, but given it’s been a thing for several months I’m not particularly optimistic. I’m in a very temperate part of the island so it just a matter of a bit better efficiency for me. It’s not like I’m living in the plains of Alberta where zero Fahrenheit would be warm.

May be you are just not as dependent on it in your geographical location to notice? You miss not having it and it not working if you live up here in the winter. Send a schedule from your phone go out and see if what you sent is registered in the car. Repeat until it is not.

20F with 1" of fresh overnight power and everything is white and sparking in the sun. Snow melt recently here such the ground snow is now compact. You can walk anywhere in the bush/fields on shoes right now and not break through the 2 to 4' of it. Was off trail today

Bad typos, even for me, in my post. We're very temperate here. It's cold for Hawaii but not anywhere else. The snow on Maunkea (4210m) is melting so temps are warming up. Early morning lows are creeping back towards 10 C now so that's hardly really cold. As such, preconditioning is nice, it does make a bit of a range difference, but hardly Drumheller in the dead of winter cold (My dad's family is from there).

Definitely not as cold down here, but we have had freezing temps recently and I have a scheduled set for preconditioning at 7 AM a few days a week. I came out to the car just before 7 and it was running like expected.

I set the preconditioning times using FordPass and it seems to have taken. I will do some more testing this week to see if 4.2.x screwed it up. I just got those OTAs within the last week.

The oopse guest profile is not just annoying its an accident waiting to happen when someone like me drives 1P all the time and when the thing takes off on 'normal coast' non 1P, someone is going to crash and its on Ford
