Things 4.2.x appears to have fixed...

The reissue of 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.3 as 4.2.x is listed in the release notes as ensuring some housekeeping features are included.

These are my guesses as to what features were fixed:

1. Owners manual
The owner's manual app now works.

2. Intermittent connected services icon and menu
I am probably jinxing myself but ever since I got 4.2.2 as an OTA and applied the GWM update that appears in FDRS, the connected services icon always displays and the connected services menu is always populated. I never had any actual connected services issues, just that about half of my drives did not display the icon and if I had wanted to changed connected services features in the menus I could not have because the menu was not populated.

3. Guest profile
Not sure if I can pronounce this one fixed yet as sometimes the bug would not occur for many weeks but at least for now every time I have driven my profile has been selected as opposed to the guest profile.

Anyone else see any bugs that might have been fixed?

4.2.2.2 installed yesterday morning (MME 2023 gets an extra .2 at the end ), Guest profile still incorrectly loaded on one of my drives in the evening.

Fixed an issue where the car warned about adding chargers to a route to a charger. It believed any arrival % SoC was insufficient.

It still baffles me (and apparently Ford) that issues like defaulting back to Guest Profile and failure to connect to CarPlay are still plaguing the MME.

I often walk away from one of my running fords and tonight I noticed the vehicle was quickly / automatically reconnecting to my phone / android auto. Not sure if this is a fluke or a new change. Typically it takes a while, if it ever reconnects after walking away / out of range. Tonight it was reconnected by the time I reached the driver door 3 times in a row.

I don’t think that this one is fixed yet…. I supposedly have 4.2.1 and I just got kicked into the guest profile today while driving. The only difference was that I was able to reactivate my regular profile with no issues. In the past I had to reboot to renewable.

Interesting. Departure times have been broken for me since at least 3.6.2 and quite possibly since before then.

3.6.2 has an SOBDMC update? I am on 3.6.1 now and it was broke for me back in the fall (November). I had a page on modules so brought it in last fall and they updated it (October). Not sure what may have broke it as not thru OTA here. Both car and FP are involved. I would really like remoted ev start (preconditioning) back for next winter and not again having to trying to get it to work sitting in the car or just brute forcing it. Biggest bug for me but the winter is almost over. -15C this morning warming up . Sunny and snowshoeing will be happening.

Carplay wireless connecting faster with the 4's? I know we could plug it in To be honest just a couple of bugs left and most is working much better here. Kick open kick closed push the button a couple of times with the phone on you and it opens and starts ......... then may play your tunes with no intervention. All good just the departure schedule here.
