You're suggesting I'll need to get the dealer to go in and trigger necessary available updates for me? Will that also give me the new UI?

You look to be in the group of people who have the "PCM dependency" issue. Working hypothesis is that when your PCM (and associated powertrain) updates get done then the gateway and Sync updates you haven't gotten so far will become available.

Well if you ask them they'll tell you that they don't update anything that Ford doesn't specifically tell them to at the time of delivery (so-called 'stop-sell'). If they haven't been told to do any updates they will give the customer the keys with updates showing as available. They're under no obligation to do them. And most customers doen't even know they have pending updates anyway.

Recommend setting your software updates schedule to check during a daily commute time instead of the middle of the night. That way your 12V battery is fully up to charge when the car checks and the logic will enable the update. At home on Wi-Fi while you're sleeping is not as optimal for getting updates as while you're driving in a 3-bar AT&T area with a fully charged 12V battery.

You have two updates that should come as OTAs, the GWM and the APIM.
