When did this happen? It would have had to have been in the last couple of months. I purchased an extended warranty from Flood earlier this year for my 2021.

Edit: Just looked it up and I guess this started in May of this year.
I was on the fence about whether I was going to get an extended warranty. I went to get a quote in March and found that I could not get an online quote because of my location. ??‍♂?

I purchased premium care for 7 years and 80,000km(48k miles) for $2000 when I put the order. Coverage started on the inservice date and provides rental car, trip interruption and other benefits that are not in the basic warranty. Dealer suggested to buy for lower miles and upgrade later if we need extra coverage. Had previously purchased extended warranties for my Ford Windstar, Audi, Cadillac and Toyota Camry Hybrid. All except Toyota paid for repairs that exceeded what I paid For the warranty.

Many times? No, house wins vast majority of times.

You would have paid Match b2b to powertrain? What?

Discount Tire 4 tire certificates well below $250.

1) Refund existing policy.
2) Buy Flood or Granger or Zeigler.
So I went to my dealer today to ask some questions about our ESP. Some points to consider: compared to Ford Protect (whatever the name is), our premium was half-priced. Now that’s assuming same coverage.

The dealer plan is good nation-wide at both Ford dealerships and non-Ford repair places. It’s good to have a plan associated with a dealer - likely to be able to reach the repair people. Ability to use non-OEM parts is to allow local mechanics to use simple parts from an automotive store to get rolling again. Although it’s likely any real service work will be done by a Ford dealer.

Also, it’s likely the dealership has existed for decades. How long has Granger been around and can you reach them by phone when necessary? Before making any decisions to cancel, if like to know from an owner who has actual experience using a third party, Granger ESP - how was the service?

Can you explain what you mean by "being in California, there are no cheap options."
Cheaper options. Grainger charges $1000 for 100,000-mile warranty. To get the same, I would have to go to a dealer in CA, can't buy online from out of state for the same warrant. Would have to pay double what Grainger charges for exact same warranty.

Yeah, I would expect that's exactly what the dealer would tell you.

Granger doesn't have to be around for a while. You purchase the ESP plan through them, but it's fulfilled by Ford.

Another ridiculous law we have to deal with. I’d love to see their justification for that rule ?

Exactly. You have no idea how many items I purchase and have shipped to friends in Colorado then they ship here. Garage door openers, plumbing fixtures, many many aftermarket car parts…. Looks like I’ll be purchasing my next vehicle out of state.

also, if you bought one, have you had to use it and what was the experience like?
Well the prior owners of my car forgot they bought it. It's still on the car and they dind't get money back because they forgot to cancel it. I havn't stalked them yet to try to get them to gift it to me. But the process is supposedly easy. I just havn't sent a card or flowers to ask them to sign it over yet.

FYI Granger PAIDINFULL is a 10% discount I think. I have Granger and Zeigler quotes sitting in my in box.

It’s an easy process. I had to do that on my Premium I sold to my friend near you. One of us had to pay $75 (don’t remember who) and it was done electronically.

Grainger is a Ford dealer. They sell the Ford ESP, as do a few other dealers, online at a discount. Well, to anyone who isn’t in FL or CA. ??

That’s why I was asking for recommendations. I know I have to buy from a dealer in CA.
Most of them are selling for full price, at least the ones I called are not offering a discount. ??

I’ve bought 9 cars in the past 25 or so years. Number of times where an extended warranty would’ve paid off during the extended warranty period? 0. 6 of those cars had infotainment screens.

I get the peace of mind thing, trust me. For some people, it is well worth it. For me, not so much.
