Any chance the adapter they provide will have an extender similar to this ? Not sure if they can make one like this safe for super charging

In my opinion, there is zero chance of that.
Agreed, not unless they also limited charging to like 70 kW or something which I guess could happen. Almost all DCFC use cable cooling and an extension like that wouldn't fly. The adapter will likely be similar to the Tesla CCS adapter they have now which is a single piece unit. They still get warm, but it's a lot easier and safer than adding actual cable to it.

Edit:
So I expect it to be a reverse of this:

Why would it take until "sometime" next year before this could happen?
Tesla needs to design the NCAS to CCS adapter. Prototypes need to be made and tested, then they need to be produced en masse. Ford Pass needs to be readied and Ford might need to push some OTA updates to their cars. Offhand, I’d say next spring is an optimistic although reachable goal.
Except, Tesla has already opened up their charging network to all in other countries (to comply with laws). I don't know if those chargers have longer cords than the US, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same length as the US chargers.
To be fair, the EU has also mandated CCS-2 as the standard for EVs. It’s far easier to have an open to all network when there’s a common standard.

I agree that the Mach E looks better than any other crossover BEV on the market. As for "performance," that's highly debatable. Comes down to what you mean by performance and prioritize - charging? comfort? acceleration? software? efficiency? tech? etc. etc. Other models could be better buys depending upon what is most important to you.

Ok. But that's a fairly rare use case, no? I'd suspect that most BEV owners fast charge at least occasionally.
By performance, I mean acceleration, handling and braking.

Find me a car that looks better and performs better, around the same price and I’ll buy it.

The faster accelerating cars handle and brake worse and are ugly.

As far as charging, it’s a “my use” case. Not worried about what other people do. Faster charging has zero affect on my buying decision as I never use it. That said, I doubt I’m that rare. How many people drive 200 miles plus from home regularly? I’m sure many do, but also….. many like myself don’t.

In 18 months the farthest I’ve been from home is 120 miles round trip.

I drove by a Ford delaership over the weekend and saw what looked like 10 Mach Es lined up out front. Later I got on their web site, they have twelve 2023 models for sale right now. Seems demand is waning.
I did an inventory search 100 miles from here and there are 79. 14 GT's on lots but everything else is "Dealer Ordered". Not on the lots. Most still want dealer markup for the GT's.

Again, all Mach-Es fully qualify for 1/2 tax credit. HOW MANY TIMES ARE PEOPLE GOING TO REPEAT THIS INCORRECT INFORMATION?

As to your comments about the agreement with Tesla, do you think that Farley would announce it without a signed deal? You might want to watch the video or do some reading, they are going to integrate it into FordPass, so there is work to be done so you can use Plug and Charge. Why would Farley want us using the Tesla app? Why would he want us having cords that don't reach?

I keep reading what people post and wonder what's so hard to understand?
Should have put the charger in the back like Teslas. I loathe not being able to back in park at many public charging stations.

I’m not a car collector. I couldn’t tell you makes and models, and have no experience to back up what I’m going to say next, but…
I wonder if the Mach E is going to be a failed brand. Like the Edsel. Sure, they are doing a good job keeping up with updates, but the car is outmatched by the competition. Technology is all last years stuff, and buggy. Fast charging is slow, and outdated. 150 kilowatts? Competition is 400, or 800. My car has been very reliable, but the two dealers near me either don’t have a clue, or just don’t care. When this car starts breaking down, which everything mechanical will do eventually, taking it apart and putting it back together doesn’t seem like it’s going to be easy. Or seems like a nightmare. I could go on.

Problem is I love this car, and for a similar dollar, I’m not sure I could find a ICE that will match it. So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping I’m wrong.
The product is not a complete shit show ( other than the HV junction box) and considering other OEM they are doing OTA with power train and changing brake feeling which isn't half bad.

I do NOT understand people who back into parking spaces. You people drive me crazy when you appear to drive past an empty parking spot when I'm right behind you, then you stop and want to back up, and I'm in your way? Ugh! Head in!

With the mach e it's a bit different. You can only be towed from the front. Especially in the days of HVBJB failure rates being high, it was highly recommended to back in.

I think a lot of us instinctively back in because we don't want to deal with the stress of destroying the car if/when it bricks again.

It's best, that way you can be towed onto the flatbed when the HVJB shitsthebed.
My wife doesn't realize that's why I back into my cabin, I fully expect it to crap out while were up here. With my charge port mad at the world and having to charge on 110v because I don't have enough extension cable type things and the random power outages i expect the FMC to bork the car.

But there's hardly any MME's in Flagstaff so I continue to turn heads.

Base model Y: $49k - $7.5k = $41.5K
Select MachE AWD: $48k -$3.7K = $44.3k

Are there other rebates or markups? Because I don't see how you would get to a $15k difference.
Why does every one compare the Mach e to the model y?
I was looking at the Tesla before I purchased my Mach e. Maybe call me old fashion but what sold me on the Mach e
1. Display behind steering wheel. Only the Model S and Model X have this (lets compare the prices of them to the Mach e
2. Dealerships (yes it is a learning curve for them)
3. Physical controls ( Has anyone looked at how everything on the Tesla goes through the screen? Even opening the glove box??)
Yes is there going to be issues with a year 1 model car. The question you have to ask did Tesla have year 1 problems and the answer is yes.

Well, I just got mine and I don't even think about HVBJB failures the way you early adopters obviously do, having been through that issue. I suppose that's understandable.

What about all the other "backer-inners" in ICE vehicles? I was really talking about that. Drives me nuts when they make me think they are passing the parking spot by driving past it, then get all twisted in a knot that somehow I'm in their way when they suddenly stop and want to back up into it. As if I'm supposed to read their mind.
