I have been through this starting in Oct 22. It's my belief that they did not have a adequate memory stick to conform with the APIM and locked it up. And since it didn't get done in the 28 days that is required, it locked up permanently, requiring replacement. Finally a new APIM came in in May 23. but after replacement they could not program it. Worked on it all Friday and even had the tech come in Saturday. A Ford corporate tech finally reprogrammed it on line on Monday morning. Thanks Mike. And yes, this is what I will do: to let them update the APIM. Let's see what the result will be. So far I have no reason to doubt in what they told me, as they always have been very supportive and showed qualified execution. But if now the update will not work, we have a good argumentation to change the module.
Again, thanks a lot for your support!!!!
So don't be surprised if they have to involve a corporate tech. After all, the anti theft system is part of the APIM.
