As EVs become more common, I suspect third parties like Apple and Google will step up to meet demand for good charging information during trips. This means that having car play/android support will be even more important than it is now.

Currently on iOS 16.6. What are you in US?

Currently use ZapMap to find charger and then one of various charge point providers’ apps for the real-time info. A bit clunky but worked for me thus far.

Over 30,000 miles per year and this would be a genuine game changer.

It’s been available on iOS for at least six months. You just need to make sure that the correct car is selected. Otherwise it will direct your ICE car to got to charging locations or it won’t use charge information with your Mach E.

You mean the feature to direct to charging stations and approximate your battery percentage on arrival, correct? My version of Apple Maps has those, but not the features in the article including real-time availability and preferred networks.

Correct, these features have been available for quite some time in Maps but not the real time charging information the OP was asking about. This has only been available for a little over a month.

Just like estimate SoC on arrival, only really useful when you're doing roadtrips which is really the only time you need to be concerned about range.

When you are traveling long distance and need to charge along the way. Also, for those that are not fortunate to have home charging (Apartments, condominium)

Ah, thanks. I've done two trips where I needed to public charge in the 2.5 years I've owned the car. One just last Saturday. However, everything went as expected and I don't know how added information would be useful. I wasn't in the car while it charged. The good news is that I'm still on the free KW that Ford supplied when I got the car.

yes, ford should do it for everyone. or give us a button to do it for ourselves. they just haven't figured out how to make it an $800/yr subscription yet.
