Update: I'm still driving my '21 GT with all the warnings! About 150mi later and one L2 charge. Keeping speeds under 65 MPH & purposely accelerating like a Smartcar, ha! I asked my dealer to pre-order parts so my downtime will be minimal. I'll likely have to go in for physical in-car scan diagnosis. I just don't want to be stuck paying $5.50/gal gas for 1-2 wks! @Ford Motor Company contacted me already and provided a case # for any needed assistance... That was cool! Thanks ?
lemme know how the rental goes. Like, is your dealer taking care of that for you with a local rental company or do they give you a loaner?

Back at home fixed in 8 working days (1.5 weeks) from event to fixed with a server crash for good measure. In the shop Tuesday and out Thursday at 12 pm with a day in extra due to no FDRS server. Kept it here the first week and drove it while waiting for parts. All and all a lot better then them figuring it out the first time then waiting for parts (1 year and 3 months the first time ;)).

I always learn more when there are problems but I have to say I now know enough. Still hoping eventually the thing won't only go like snot but will also keep working for me. Revised HVBJB here we come. Running it on a trip Saturday so we will see how they did. Think I will try a Tesla SC magic dock.

Glad you have it back. Your dealer had yours a little longer than mine was in for, but I guess the FDRS server outage makes up that difference, plus the day my car just sat after they finished with it. ??

2.5 days in the shop total and done. Was trying real hard to bet you. All mechanics done Tuesday, then Wednesday it sat there with servers down, then today it was back in the garage for 20 minutes tops and done. Missed it by that much ;). Glad this one did not drag on and fester. Back in action.

Oh, wait, I thought you said 8 working days. Took my dealer 6 working days from drop off to completion, plus the extra day when I was being ghosted. ?? 7 working days, so I guess you beat me. ??

The one thing I have learned from this thread is that you have to drive in turtle mode to have a chance to avoid turtle mode.

edit: I have to correct myself. I did learn a lot from forum members and the fact that Ford currently has no fix to the HVBJB problem. 23’s are still crapping out. I wouldn’t touch a new one until I can be assured that they have fixed this issue, because other than that the car is pretty good.

Frustrating being without a car that long. My brother in law has a 21 Select AWD with this same problem and the dealer quoted him 3 weeks for the part to be delivered ?‍♂

I'm scheduled to take mine to this same dealership on Monday and have tried to reach their service department twice to ask if they could pre-order the part but have received no response from them. I assume I'll be stuck waiting a month for this to get fixed.

Depending on where you are, the part is in stock in the local warehouse and available for next day or even same day delivery. Your dealer just needs to know that they have to order through COPIS. Not sure about Canada, but it should not be that different. @Shayne is on the other end of the country from you, but one would think that BC would have good stock. ?‍♂?

Ran it 50 miles to pick up groceries Wednesday (week from this) after it hit me on that Sunday picking up diesel. Sat at home first week as my service guy had last week off doing a reno. This Monday was our labour day holiday. In Tuesday, parts in and out Thursday afternoon with a day their FDRS was down?. Big city dealers have nothing on us ;).

Tested and based on 2 version 1 originals they do not work in mine. Lets go revision.

PERFECT ANALYSIS!
The Reduced power mode is not as drastic as I imagined; it is really not bad. I am thinking we will keep beta testing for Ford. Explained in my occupation; know not Steve's.

I called Ford Canada and ranted about speaking to the Ford BEV team for a bit. Which we do not have. The person I originally talked to after me clearly explaining the situation to her said you need parts that I can do as they explain that was their job (expediting parts). Nice talk she emailed me and me back with the error messages, DTC etc. She then spoke to my dealer and parts came quick. We have always been waiting on parts and this time I needed it to go away quick.

I can get a stinky ERAC (Enterprise) vehicle -- non-EV. I usually opt for my back-up Sienna van or Camry Hybrid and dealer sometimes comps me a tank of gas per week on longer repair holds.

I heard back from the dealership and they said they'd expect the part to take at least 3 weeks to arrive, and that they'll need the error codes from the diagnosis service appointment to place the parts order.

I understand there is a risk with being an early adopter of new technology, but am surprised that Ford is being allowed to leave people in a lurch like this. I imagine if one of their new ICE vehicle models had significant drivetrain failures resulting in cars breaking down or losing power the recall to fix the issue would go to the root cause of the failures, not introducing an electronic limiter bandaid solution.

My car is at the dealer for what I thought was a 12V battery issue and they're running a whole bunch of TSBs, but on the FordPass App, I'm seeing the HVBJB warning.

Should I be worried?

Sorry this is happening to you but they don’t have a clue how to fix it otherwise they would have

Total failure on their part. Unfortunately their customers suffer

Probably because 12v issues are almost non-existent. They are normally a sign of something else. Using ICE as an example - a dead 12v could mean a defective alternator. It's normally a symptom, not a cause.
