HI. I just bought a used 2022 MME Premium RWD ER. Just wondering if I'm up to date as I'm still on update 4.2.2. VIN 3FMTK3R74NMA35942.
Thanks,
Vic
You're a few updates behind. You need that gateway update to process (OTA hopefully) before any new Sync (APIM) update will happen.

Here's today's list and there's no gateway showing.

6.1.0 was a gateway update. When you hit the Check Updates button are you waiting for about 10 seconds to see if it changes from "Not Completed" to "Completed"? Sometimes it takes a bit for that to show up.
I tried it today. Waited 5 minutes on the update screen and did t see the “not completed!” Status change. Maybe it went through and it just glitched and never changed? First time this has happened. I’ve seen the not complete message come up and then change like you said. Just not for this one.

That gateway as well as the ACM have gone out as OTAs. There will be other updates that show up after the gateway is updated. There aren't any additional updates in the list now because it's a dependency thing. Gateway gets updated and it opens the way for another update to appear.....

Hello, thanks for doing this for everyone, much appreciated!

I have 2 MachEs (both 2023) that have only received 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.3, which seems to be far behind reports of 5.x and 6.x Ford Power-Ups. Could you please take a look into ours?

On VIN 3FMTK4SE6PMA45941 the holdup is the TCU that hasn't downloaded as an OTA yet

Thanks for looking into that...I assume there is nothing I can do to get the updates to trigger and they will just randomly show up?

I've had good luck with setting the Check Updates time to about 15 minutes into my morning commute time. Give the 12V battery time to recharge a bit on the drive in to work and then things tend to download and process better. Ford's idea of having the car check at 0100 in the morning is less than ideal. And no downloads come over Wi-Fi...just the car's TCU. So another thing to check is to make sure you don't have Sync so locked down that you're not sharing any data with Ford. Doing that is counterproductive.

Really appreciate insight here. Took to dealer they said they replaced a module and did a AC recall ??. Love the MME the software side of things is a little weird though.

They did a gateway (GWM) software update and did the HVAC software update from earlier this year. The gateway is like the network router for the whole car.

They left you with quite a list of things that I assume they think are going to update as OTAs...the very first thing that would need to be updated in this list is the TCU. That's the modem the car talks to Ford on and it's how your car gets downloads (not on home Wi-Fi).

And I don't see where they replaced any modules based on the FDRS session logs for the 11th and 12th of Oct.

What I did see was after they had done the updates and the tech is supposed to run the self-test to clear out all the error codes that pop up during programming (due to network errors on the car's networks), they did a second check "Clear and retest" to make sure everything was "green"...except it wasn't. It says you had an IPMA error on the last test and I don't see where they ran another self-test to see if it would clear.

Are you having any issues with messages about cameras not working etc.?

That entry was nearly the last thing they did so I'm wondering if your car still has that DTC and they just didn't tell you. I would call the service advisor and ask him/her to pull up your VIN in the "Connected Vehicle" tab in PTS and ask them if you have any IPMA (image module) errors showing. Your car reports it's status everytime you drive it (well at least daily). So if there's an error they can see that in PTS. I'd ask them specifically about this IPMA DTC from the self test they did.

Thank you I appreciate your time.

I didn't have any AC or electrical issues on my end, the advisor mentioned a recall. They weren't exactly eager to help maybe because I didn't purchase there. Thanks again much appreciated.

Well the HVAC wasn't really a "recall" per se. But they were getting paid by Ford to update the HVAC so that's probably the only reason they did it.

Can someone check what updates my car has available? VIN is 3FMTK3SU6PMA09720.

The dealer completed all available module updates this summer. They were not able to update the Infotainment where I have the camera button on top. They replaced the “APIM” module in September and was able to complete the final update. The concern I have is that I have not had any OTA update since back in March, and I am concerned that the car is having issues with OTA updates.

I appreciate it very much.
